Miyajima | Japan | The Floating Torii Gate

Miyajima! A small island near Hiroshima, it is famous for its Itsukushima shrine, more popularly known as the floating Torii gate.
In this video, we will show you how to plan a one-day trip to Miyajima island from Kyoto/Osaka and what you can see here if you have half a day to spend here. The Torii gate is a beautiful iconic monument of Japan, which looks amazing both during high tide and low tide. While it looks like a floating gate during high tide, it takes a completely different look during low tide when visitors can walk upto the torii.
We stayed at Kyoto and did a day trip to Miyajima. At Kyoto, we stayed at an apart hotel, Mimaru-Kawaramachi Gojo. Excellent place to stay, good hospitality and just a km away from the main Kyoto station.
