- I made this small plywood box glue up jig to assemble and glue a large quantity (40) of some small plywood boxes I'm making to go inside the Stackable Plywood Boxes I made in a previous a video (see link below).
I started by marking the outside finished size of an already assembly box in the exact center of a scrap piece of plywood, then extended those lines out to edges. I could then line up where I would be cutting my (4) dado's, which just on the inside of those lines. The cuts are about half way through the overall thickness of the plywood approximately 3/8th inch deep.
Next, I apply glue on all the outside edges and slip the 4 sides of the box upside down into the dado's on the jig, place the bottom piece on top and nail everything using some 5/8th inch pin nails.
Thanks again for watching and please feel free to leave me any questions or comments you may have about this jig.

Thank you!
That is really a very clever jig. Thanks for sharing.
Your welcome, they work gteat for holding everything together so you can shoot some nails in place, thanks for watching!
Now, if we could only design one that is infinitely variable for different sized boxes. That would truly be a great invention. Thanks.
Yes......that would be great! Thanks!!!
Just made me say to myself, "Why didn't I think of that?" Nice work!
Thanks, when I started putting these small boxes together I was thinking there has to be an easier way to hold all these small pieces together....... this was my solution! Give it a try ...
@@henryworkswoodandmetal I will. I need a few boxes for my odds / ends / fasteners
Sounds good, let me know how it works out for you!?
Wow, what a great idea..
TY!
Nice!
Thank you!!!
Make some 2-3 cm holes where the channels intersect. This way if some glue squeeze out from the box it won't accumulate, and your jig will work for a longer time. (I hope my english is understandable :)
Thanks, that's a great idea!!!
HENRY ! Thank you.
what is the devices u use for pin. is it available on Amazon. than please share the link.
It's a Kobalt KP23 PIn nailer I bought ar Lowes, unfortunately they are no longer available, just search 23 gauge pneumatic pin nailer you will find quite a few to choose from, thanks!
If anyone is looking for a pin nailer... Spring 2020...
The pin nailer by 'Banks' ( I think ) currently sold at Harbor Freight in the USA is a great tool. Very happy with it. They also sell the pins.
