Thank you, my Sister.
I have been struggling with this lately.
Married 20 years. Thought we were both believers (met in church through family). Had 2 beautiful children. Been through his heart surgery, gallbladder surgery, his job losses and 2 car crashes/accidents. Found out about the 'friend' 4 years ago. Gave him an ultimatum - her or the kids & I. He's still talking to her everyday. Filed for divorce April 2024. Sheriff messed up and didn't serve him in time. Meanwhile, my pastor has been preaching his marriage series about how the wife sanctifies the husband if they are not equally yoked, etc.
In spite of it all, I am still working my government job of 20+ years and recently got a raise. God has been providing a means for me to make it, with the Lord's help, and take care of my children. However, I still cannot help but feel conflicted. I'm saving to make a down payment on a home but wondering should get 3 or 4 bedrooms because he is going to continue in this downward spiral as long as he is dealing with that woman (who is also married and I’m pretty sure he's not going to move in with her and her husband)
