Absolutely beautiful early home with so much 18th century charm, both inside and outside. I loved all the gorgeous antiques throughout the house. Thank you so much for this wonderful tour!
Hello I'm a Quarles Langston Descendant.Robert Quarles and Lucy Jane Langston are my 6th great grandparents and John Mercer Langston is my 5th great grandfather. William Quarles is the brother of captain Ralph Quarles. We are still a prominent family in orange and Louisa county
Hello typo captain Ralph Quarles and Lucy Jane Langston are my 6th great grandparents, they had John , John had frank , frank had Joseph , Joseph had my great grandfather Robert, Robert had my grandfather Taylor, he had my father. That's how our genealogy goes ❤
Enjoyed the video..interesting info about Zachary Taylor's ancestors..the docent was also very knowledgeable about the property! Thanks and keep up the good work!
Such a beautiful home! I like how you focus on details on furniture. I wish I had noticed the details on my grandmother's old furniture. I noticed a drop leaf table that looks like the one I inherited.
Enjoyable tour of the house. I'm just finding i have ancestry to that area by way of William Gosney and brining his family and settled in the area. A few of his boys traveled west to Western Virginia and then to Kentucky. But he had two children that stayed in the area. Orange and Spottsylvania, area.
Thank you! Wish you could find that General RE Lee HQ marker. It's quite modest and I haven't been able to find it yet. Lee attended the Episcopal church in Orange during that winter and they still have the bench he used.
Beautiful drone footage. We are supposed to be related to Z. Taylor. I think that’s wishful thinking since genealogical records are sketchy that far back on our end. Think it’s more someone wishing to be related to someone famous, or, in this case, infamous since Z. Is a controversial figure.
Wow, what a beautiful house with amazing details and exquisite antiques. Really enjoyed, thank you!
That is a beautiful home that has been wonderfully preserved .🇺🇲 🙂
Exquisite interiors. Every detail is beautiful.
Gorgeous home and property. The restoration and furnishings were well executed.
Thank you!

Zachary Taylor and James Madison are my third cousins. Some of my ancestors were born in Orange county.
