Burntisland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Burntisland (/bɜːrntˈaɪlənd/ is a former royal burgh and parish in Fife, Scotland, on the northern shore of the Firth of Forth. According to the 2011 census, the town has a population of 6,269.
It is known locally for its award-winning sandy beach, the 15th-century Rossend Castle, as well as the traditional summer fair and Highland games day. To the north of the town a hill called The Binn is a landmark of the Fife coastline; a volcanic plug, it rises 193 metres (632 ft) above sea level.

I have always liked Burntisland it is a special place I can recall it from my childhood .In the summertime when the fair ground was there and even going down to the shoreline and looking over to Edinburgh was great ,even up to kirkcaldy up to the mercat shopping centre was good i love all of fife and it surrounding areas it is my best place to be.❤💯🏄‍♂🌳🌼🏵🏖🎡🎠⛵

Dam this brings back a lot off memory’s lives there from a kid until 12 on Cromwell road for me was the best place in scotland absolutely loved it

This was the birthplace of my cat of 15 years. She was the runt of a litter of a cat belonging to a local innkeeper, outmatched by her siblings and covered with fleas
My sister, fearing the kitten wouldn't survive if she stayed among her siblings, asked to take her home, to which the innkeeper agreed. Due to how frail she was, my sister feared the kitten wouldn't survive the journey to her home, but sure enough, she did
One quarantine and a full home disinfection later, she became an iconic, invaluable member of our family
Just yesterday, we put her to sleep and buried her in the garden
Thank you for this wonderful, indirect tribute to her birthplace
