I'm happy the cops and security guards were nice to you. I've seen security at hotels before, it just depends on the location.

Yea, I'm grateful they were nice. I definitely learned from that situation. I will always check for security at a hotel before considering parking there for a night.

    Hi! I'm almost caught up!
Your videos are so informative and REAL!!
RE: Restroom: I find it utterly hilarious that somebody could actually say that you're too heavy if you sat on a collapsible bucket it would fold, etcetera. But did they take time to expose how they go to the wc??
I feel that knowing you're in such a small space and being a professional in the food industry, you're probably 100x cleaner than that person because it's second nature.
Re: "co-workers knowing your business" I've worked at the same school for 19 yrs in the office.
I know who's (teachers & other staff) essing w who, who's looking to quit, who's "dancing" on the side, who's broke, but NOBODY knows I've been remarried 7 yrs, I'm looking into an RV bc builders are bulldozing our acreage but offering just under $1million & I've got less than 9 yrs to collect two pensions. I know I would not be able to get another place at 3% rate w no pmi like I've been blessed to have.
My plan is to look into a combination of this opportunity, probably have a small storage unit for a minute, if something does open up that I can possibly purchase that's within 40 minutes of my commute go ahead and buy it if everything is aligned (mainly the rate) then sell and build in a state w/o income tax.
People may say that I should just go ahead and and do that now...... If people knew...but they don't!
    LOVE the private life!😊
P.s. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody was just walking through a parking lot when you were at a grocery store and just kept trying the door just gave. People have algorithms for all types of things nowadays.
When we moved down here from New York in 94, I dubbed it the land of two seasons: hot and not!
I've learn the art of stringing my air conditioning store runs together😂

I have a collapsible toilet and I use it just fine. It holds my weight just fine because that's what it's made to do. It doesn't collapse.

I enjoy your channel as always; your videos are never too long. Have you thought of getting the collapsible toilet? I saw one on someone else's car chronicles and she slides it under the seat once she's done with it. To combat the heat, Amazon has cooling blankets and many of them have great reviews. If I ever decide to do car life, I'm getting one for the summer months. I've also seen people talk about the marine fans (same size) being game-changers and feel more like ac blowing than an actual fan. Thank you for sharing your journey...we look forward to your videos. `Grace

Thank you for all if these great suggestions! I'm definitely looking into them today, especially the cooling blanket because it is HOT this summer. It was 100 degrees the other day. I don't think I've seen a collapsible toilet before, just the small ones that van lifers use. I appreciate your comment.

@@simmpleenough You are more than welcome. There are several foldable toilets. One RUclipsr put some faux fur on her cover and uses it as a stool when she needs one. Yes, it is very hot. I did some temp car camping during the heat. I took some ice packs and placed them on the front of my body and let the air from the fan hit it...makes a huge difference. :)

How did your fan get stolen? I know exactly the type of "can't keep their mouth shut" person you're talking about. I keep my business to myself at work for that reason too. Also, love your channel. New subscriber!

The tow driver who towed my car after my car accident stole it. It was in the car when he took my car and it was gone when he dropped it off at the collision center 🙄. Thank you for subscribing!!

I love your videos. Uplifting and enlighting.... What do you do for work now? Are you still in the culinary industry. My daughter graduated from JWU. But now she's a stay at home mom of 1 year old twins and a 3 yr with autism. She always wanted to be a personal chef. Any suggestions?

    • @simmpleenough

Hi, Josephine and thank you! I suggest beefing up her resume and creating a gorgeous website. I cannot tell you how many jobs and clients I gained because of my website. Many people told me that when it came down to the final decision on who to choose as a caterer, they chose me because of my beautiful website. I put a lot of work into it and photographed professional photos of my food to put on it.
If she doesn't have a ton of chef experience, I suggest she cooks for a lot of family and friends, so she can add it to her resume. No one has to know it was a family member's party she catered. They'll just know that she successfully catered a party of 50 people, was able to prepare an array of delicious food that satisfied the client while staying within the client's budget, provided professional wait staff for the party (they don't have to know the wait staff was comprised of her cousins, lol), etc.... You get the picture! Make it sound good! And take professional photos of every event to add to her website and make her seem more legit. When I started out, I'd meal prep for my parents, but on my resume I put that I was a personal chef for a busy nurse and her husband, a successful federal officer, and provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner for their family 5 days a week, and that I was their personal chef for 5 years. If anyone needed references, I'd give them my mom's contact info, but tell her to go by her maiden name because we have the same last name, lol. I'd use friends as references, too. You gotta hustle and find loop holes, but this really helped me in the beginning of my career. I only did this until I was able to start getting real clients and then I had a bunch of real references, but these are the things that helped me get those real clients.
In order to get some big time names on her resume, she might need to do a few events for free. I was contacted on instagram by the Ritz Carlton to work with them and eventually got a client who lived at the Ritz Carlton. The concierge saw me so often, delivering food to the client, that they asked me to cater a party for their residents in exchange for exposure and more potential clients. I did it. Having Ritz Carlton on my resume also impressed my next big private chef client (the client who paid me 80k) and was one of the reasons I got hired, so I was super glad I catered that party for free just so I could put it on my resume. Sometimes contacting companies via email is no use, so she might have to go to high end hotels that have residents, give them her business card, and offer to cater a party for the residents for free. She could also go to high end hotels and give the front desk employees her information and offer a finder's fee if they can get a hotel guest to hire her for a private dinner party or something.
Tell her to create a LinkedIn account, too, and put her photos on there. I get contacted all the time on LinkedIn.
I could go on and on about this! I want to create a course on how to become a successful personal or private chef, but it won't be anytime soon. This information is a good start. I hope it helps and just leave a comment with more questions if you have any!

I am thinking of starting my rv life and wanted to know if you knew if I rent a campground for a couple of days ; what will happen if I drive from that lot to go to the store, etc. will my spot be giving away or because I have already paid it doesnt matter ...just curious how rv living works

    • @simmpleenough
      @simmpleenough  2 года назад +2

If you paid for it, no one can take it. From my experience, it’s only at free camping spots, or places that have “first come first serve” on their website, when you might get your spot taken if you leave. Hope that helps 🙂

I was born and raised in Germany the first 5-6 years of my life (army brat), but I'm american and so are my parents and grandparents. I have no idea what country my family is originally from, unfortunately.
