Absolutely Awesome . I remember my first crush over a girl from Hayling Island whilst i was on holiday as a 16 year old during the summer holidays of the year I left Shireland High School in Smethwick in the West Midlands . I was on holiday in Saundersfoot in South Walse at Saundersvale caravan and camping site , with my late sister Sharon and brother in law Ian. Such sweet memories . Love that song especially for the nostalgic feeling its gives me . That was magical sir . Thanks for the treat of hearing it .

I heard that George Michael listened to quite a few sax players try to play that part before he found the right guy (sorry his name escapes me). He wanted it to be all connected as much as possible, so it requires a full tank of air to get it right. You probably didn't think about it because you always fill your lungs.

Wasn’t the original played on alto? I’m sure you’ve seen the Sex Sax Man play this as a spoof on RUclips. I play it on tenor, but haven’t played it on a gig. I did have the audience try to get me to just launch into the solo on my own, but I haven’t had a band that wanted to play it.

First song I learnt . Did you play it one breath. Apparently the sax was played on the original song in one breath 😳
No. There’s a long phrase in it though. The breaths are as I play it here.
Killer, and best of all you got great footage of it. Quality! I understand the feeling too - I got to play careless whisper for the first time on stage (with a local band) and it was fire. Such a cliche tune, but it’s so cool to perform it. The crowd of course loves the song. Ended up getting to take a bit of a solo in it as well.
