i threw out both of the BMW stock filters and replaced it with a one re-usable filter. OMG! the car runs and performs soooo much better without the BMW filters. You no longer have to apply the gas pedal to get it to move, and mpg also improved for me up to 38 mpg in regular hwy driving: ruclips.net/video/Mosz9YNHR4c/видео.html

Hi.. I have bmw 328I convertible.. My idrive stopped working.. I checked the voltage at the connector and it shows 12V

Not a good idea, google the differences between the filtering capabilities. The reusable one lets in a ton of crap into your engine.
