I would add that yes chick probably played C7 instead of an F#7 but he also played a lot of F#7(b13). Most of the time people would use F#7(#5) or (b9) because it’s a little bit easier but I like that in the backing track you have the opportunity to choose between mixo, “jewish” mode, altered or diminished half step/ step.
@@entipul Yes. It's just a curious unimportant detail that caught my attention. If you look, in all the recordings and videos in which Corea plays, with different bassists, the bassist always plays C.
However, In all the versions where Corea does not play, the bassist plays F#. That made me think that Corea probably liked it that way. I can imagine Corea in rehearsals telling the bassists: Perfect! But please play me C there!😂

Yes and no. It doesn’t change anything if it’s an A7 or A13. If you play mixo the 6th is there anyway. But I get your point. I would just say that it’s not wrong but optional.

Capital M means major. So you are right. There is no G minor or D minor because they are M (major) in the backing track. It can be confusing.
