If you make a 2nd edition their is a even heavier Slab from hell in Tasmania than Shippies! and it's done damage to multiple members of any crew thats been their is very few usually the some of the same hard chore big wave chargers will be found in every crew and were probably the ones that convinced the rest of the crew into going their as no one else even knew about it let alone where it was... It's called Pedra Blanka i think and its miles out into the roaring 40's south off the southern tip of Tasmania's south coast. It may well be the most southern big wave slab in the world that isn't Antarctica where you will die before you get ya 1st wave, from the freezing cold ie. "hypothermia" Like i said its like Ship Sterns Big Old Man and you need 2 check it out. One of the Holms brother's wipe out's is being used for the new "point break" movie and it nearly killed him. He talks about it on a youtube clip. But this place just served up bomb after bomb after mutated bomb with hollow barrels big enough to drive a double decker bus through!!! and no matter how big it got this place dose not max out! The slab however has a corner angle so as the swell wrap's around this slab lurking a few fet below the surface, the wave has this second wave forming inside the walled up face of the wave and because it is being pushed by swell that hasn't slowed down to dredge the water off the slab and stand up and beginning to break, so it starts creating it's own huge face pushing out of the already massive wall face already formed and it's a sharp angle and looks like a elbow not like a smooth bowl, the bowl is straight lines and this second face moving faster is a little lower than the original but builds to the same height and even taller, As the 2 mesh together the original face catches up with the other it creates a even thicker MONSTER of a section that doesn't crumble! it spits out the thickest lip i ever seen! and spits it out so far that going straight to try out run the initial impact explosion is never going to happen you probably loose ya board as it runs over the rock slab that's been sucked dry or you'll place yourself right under the lip for a bone crushing drilling of a lifetime. For over 6 years Ross Clarke Jones and Tom Carroll were the only 2 people to have surfed it! and Ross had to go get spinal surgery after woulds. Jeessss did i crap on sorry bout the size of msg...

So cool to see Mavericks in this vid!! I live in half moon bay CA, where Mavericks is located. I personally know a lot of locals who are out surfing there as I write this. Good job on the editing!
