two suggestions, on the holder your grandfather built, take an old innertube and cut strips to glue to
eh V section. It will hold items more securely when drilling them. second one is drill a hole i your
bench and use hold downs to secure it when you need it up front. You can remove them and
set the drill back and out of your way giving you more room to use on the front of the bench.

Cody, (option: all of the above)
    * Mount the tools on wood (same exact size for each tool)
    * Make the wood bolt through to the bench,
    * Make the bolt holes the *same configuration* for the grinder and the drill press (hence the equally sized wood), then
    * Pick your multiple placement locations (for all 4 options) and drill/bolt through the table.
THEN you could change the placement of the tools depending on the need (like Jack's first garage being small and needing all tools front mounted.)

I have the Skil tool brand 9 inch bandsaw it stays in my garage through the winter months here in central Michigan. It has held up well plus I bought it used from an older gentleman that used it regularly in his small furniture business. He said when he sold it to me that he really liked it but with his business growing he needed a better larger one. There is also a RUclips channel called punished props academy the creator there has the same model as mine and he loves it for his projects. Hopefully I helped you guys out some.

Thank you! This answered my questions about this tool. Bench grinder on the end, at a 90 degree angle from the drill press. This will allow you to move material around as you want to drill. Don't have them side by side like they sat in the video. This limits your room to utilize your press.

Now, i still have my drill press and vice on opposite ends, however my grinders are stored on a shelf mounted to a section of 2x12 with some affixed alignment dowels and holes which i can clamp to the bench when i need them.

We all need a positive start to today's comments.
So go pick up the instruction manual first. (Young people are watching, ya know.)
The work bench I use is all steel with heavy angle iron legs. It is 10' long. My son in law inherited it from his Dad. And he lets me use it all I want.
The vise is a good, heavy one. Bolted on. Everything else is moved in and out for use or so it can rest out of the way.
The drill press and bench grinder are mine.
The drill press is a Delta, and is in between yours, in quality, and the similar size one from Craftsman. I am happy with it. I never have need to bolt or clamp it down. These are called bench top drill presses, or something like that to indicate they are not the tall ones that stand on the floor.
I am with you. Sometimes you can fight with an item for years before the simple answer comes to mind -- as in the case of installing the drill press levers with Loctite. By watching your videos I have conquored a number of these items. But I would use Blue Loctite more than red. In my world, many things need dismantling at one time or another. But in the mean while, they were secure.
Thanks for a good video. Good Sabbath to you and yours.

So far I am really impressed with the WEN quality. I really wanted to buy American, but there was nothing available that compared. Then I got the WEN 6 inch vise. Once again, not disappointed. I had never heard of them a month ago, now I'm a fan.

Great video, and great review. Having recently begun shopping for a drill press, living only 20 minutes away from a Harbor Freight store, of course my first thoughts were of their brand ... And after watching a couple of misc reviews, readily lost interest. Next, I began looking at WEN, and ended up purchasing a 10 in. model. I seriously considered the model which you highlight in this video, but the 10 in model offered a couple if features I really like.
You seem to be personnel knowledge in shop equip, and appreciate your input on these WEN presses .... Mine has not yet arrived, but I look forward to getting it together. I took a 16 inch truck rim welded a heavy automatic flywheel underneath of it then on the top I put a piece of 3-inch pipe up to a small platform that the grinder Mounts to.
