You had me at "ranged aoe revive". I love playing healer and will usually beeline to whatever character/class/build that will help me do that the best.
Only unlocked Seig. Getting a little better at using him. He has some subtlety to making him more mobile. Pretty cool. Cant wait to play the others but trying to be good at one at a time
So far I’ve unlocked, Charlotta, Lancelot, Percival, Vane, Siegfried, Zeta and Vaseraga. I got mostly everyone’s style down buuuut Zeta’s is still a bit tricky to learn with the timing of her loops.
It is and on hit timing. If your insect glaive Monster hunter habits kick in you will lose it. Combo and bounce into the air and attack as soon as you see the hit land and you see the damage animation press attack and you will bounce off. You have a fraction here to stall of you need to before attacking again. Remember timing based on hit. If enemy farther away it will take longer to travel there and hit them and press the button. I've chained it about 30+ times in the demo. Once you developed an eye for the on hit animation it is cake.

You can feel free to unlock one or two of your favs that you plan on using all the time, it's just that you shouldn't immediately just unlock all of them until end of campaign if you want to save on farming.
Well you can't get them all off the bat, so getting whatever characters you didn't immediatley want, they'll be leveled up to a point as you make progress through the game, saving MP. I don't think it's that bad.
Once you unlock extreme and maniac mode there are a couple survival stages that are a great way to not just only boost exp (I have almost all my characters max 100 lol) but also compile loads of mastery points and rupees. You will get there, no rush

But as far as characters go, I've only unlocked Zeta and Vane that I wanted to use for the story, along with Io and Djeeta. I plan to get Cagliostro and Vaseraga as well to have a character built for each element. Far down the line I'll probably get Ferry, Ghandagoza, Yodarha, and Charlotta.
Tip: If you don't like a character when you unlock them, don't pass the tutorial, turn off the game without saving, and when you boot back in, you won't have spent your ticket. 😘
Gonna hold off until I complete the story to subside the grinding a little, but as soon as that's done Cagliostro is 100% gonna be my first pick. My main in Versus as well as my long favourite character in the mobage. She looks so sick in this game and I can't wait!!
@@zebr after completing the main story, characters you recruit get a shortcut up to whatever level you're at, capping at lvl60, and you get a bunch of mastery points and skills unlocked too which you don't get if you recruit them beforehand. Arekkz talks about it in one of his other videos iirc
@@mordrehr Still doesn't make sense to skip characters you want because you will also level them up as you play. You just don't want to unlock everyone right away.

The game doesn't give you enough tickets to unlock all the characters without going online and doing quick quest which requires psn to do so. Meaning after all the diffculties and all the missions done, you'll still need to go online & collect those daily gold ticket and use them to get the badges.
The only character I've unlocked so far is Ferry, because I sorta know how to play her in Granblue Rising, and her other ghost friends are super cute to summon and I want to pet them. I'll probably get Vasaraga next because I like playing as a big character who can chuck smaller characters around like toys. That or Cagliostro because Cag is as cute as she is creepy.
I unlocked all of the characters bar one, because due to some known error, I never got the rewards for completing the chapter 0. The prompt showed up showing the rewards, but nothing got added to inventory. No whitewing key, no crewmate card, no other rewards. Sad. :(
At what level should you buy your crewmates? I've heard level 45, 60 and 75 but I'm confused lol. I'm okay with playing the starting characters until a certain point but I don't know when it's most beneficial to buy them

Bro Sieg is 10x easier to use once you learn how to time the hitstop that happens literally every attack, that made him the most fun character for me so far
I want to know which characters have the best AI. It is fine and good to have cool characters to play as but I am going to have 3 AI controlled characters and it is hard to know which ones are the best in the hands of the AI.
I have no idea if I even want to unlock all the characters. If they release more I'll have to see if they try to sell them or if you need character specific vouchers. If they make you pay for them then I'd like for them to let you test them first. I'd hate to buy a character and never use them
is the recruitment level tied to your characters level or a difficulty? I just unlocked extreme with my main team at 66/67 but the recruitment is coming in at 45.
same I am having the same issue I have been holding off but I got to extreme and they are also locked. My characters are 68. have you figured it out since you posted this? i am going to try and get to 70/75 and see what happens

just unlocked zeta before chapter 6, if you get the timing and learn the parry windows she is super fun, she might be my favourite so far

Level 60 is highest they will go to, so you can start to pick them up then and start levelling them passively

I’m a Katalina main but Vaseraga was my first unlock. He’s been permanently on my team as a beefy tank with huge damage.
