  • 💡6 months living in Singapore thaught me this🤓
🥶Always bring a jacket, the air conditioning is so cold in malls and cabs..
☔️ It can go from blue sky to pouring rain within minutes - always bring an umbrella!
🗣️ People here speak Singlish which combines elements of Chinese and Malay. Can can!
🐒 It is not allowed to feed any monkeys - it will cost you $5000 dollar❌
📸There are surveillance cameras everywhere - don’t do something stupid!

Yes in fact not allowed to feed any wildlife. So as not to disrupt the biodiversity and also not to change the behaviours of them to rely on humans, which might lead to unfortunate outcomes.

Yes, we are not allowed to feed wildlife. Cats are also prohibited from HDB flats in Singapore. If you find a lost chick around in singapore, that is not allowed to keep as a pet as well. Feeding chicken a little rice once in a while if okay but feeding too much might spread diseases in the chickens. Hope this helps! If u wanna bring home a chick like I did, you should probably only keep it for 2 days.

Then when the Japanese came the British went back so the Japanese
Was very strict and mean something like that idk how u wanna think
But then they heard their biggest city Tokyo was bombed so they
Went back then the British came so Singapore’s prime minister mr Lee Kuan
Yew came with a meeting with the Malaysia so the Malaysia moved there but when I say moved
It doesn’t mean the whole country I mean some or many people so time went on
But Malaysia and singapore WASNT that good they hated each other

Been in Singapore for six months myself. Just behave yourself, don't fight with locals and eat from hawker centres. Try and learn chinese while you are here, locals will appreciate you. You WILL get racially abused being white but laugh it off. You'll be fine

'Alamak' basically is malay language, which means 'oh no' or the way to express something that is shocking (can be used to show other feelings too) .For example, 'Alamak, i forgot my key' or 'Alamak, i don't have enough money'. Can also be used to get sympathy from your friends,'Alamak, i didn't bring my wallet, can you pay for me'. Sometimes people use it to complain like 'alamak, that so far away/alamak im too lazy'. Also, it can be used to show that you stressed with something like 'Alamak, my laptop got a problem'. It can be used to show you are angry, sad , happy, and surprised, etc. It depends on the tone, too.
