China boasts a rich array of ancient architecture. At the 2025 Spring Festival Gala, an annual celebration during Chinese New Year, the song-and-dance performance Pillars and Beams celebrates the architectural ingenuity of ancient China, combining historical themes with stunning visual effects. The performance is inspired by Beijing's Central Axis, which was recently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The 2025 Spring Festival Gala was held by China Media Group on Tuesday evening as Chinese people worldwide began celebrations for the Spring Festival.
