Shirase games are not supposed to be this clean, what the hell. I've always thought of you as one of the best all-around tetris players and this game definitely reinforces that lmao. huge ggs
Your stacking, apart from some small misdrops in the early sections, was unbelieably clean, almost makes 1200s look like a piece of cake! Huge congratz!
This is one of the most impressive Tetris games I have ever seen. I’ve never played TGM, but I’ve played a ton of 20G Tetris, and the amount of time and effort it takes to get to even a fraction of this level is ridiculous. I’ve only seen a couple of runs as consistent as this one, and none of them were even close to as fast. Congrats on this record, and good luck on the grind for 4:03!
I used to LOVE watching Shirase superplays! It's funny to think this is the first time I've ever seen one in 60fps. Congrats on the record! ~~And maybe if you get sub 4 you'll reach the hidden Shirase level 1500 finally~~
holy shit, massive props and congratulations. I will forever be amaze with TGM stuff, because I know how hard it actually takes to pull things like these off
That's incredible, amazingly good job. Your time to 700 beats my best time to 500 I think... So many frame perfect piece placements, and only a couple didn't tap back in time etc. My old joke of 'KAN makes fewer mistakes getting S13 than I make putting my name in' also applies here.
After watching a comparison video and looking at the split times, topping the unrecorded record is definitely possible, and sub-4 is not out of the question, either. Post-1000 is already impressive; 300-999 is where the time saves are going to be.
@@EricICX Figured it may have been because there wasn't anyone outside Japan to compete, and maybe you'd be the inspiration for him to get back into it. Ah well.
@@EricICX yeah, my bad, should have taken a closer look on your channel. I guess the only other long standing record remaining for you to break would be sub 9 minute master mode in TGM 1.
Huge congrats! Also, if you dont mind me asking, do you play with keyboard or arcade stick, and if you play with keyboard, what are your keybinds? I have been thinking of getting into TGM recently, this would help a lot. Seriously tho, well deserved record and you are an amazing player
The only viable method for playing this version is DAS. For the 1200-1300 section you only get 8f before the piece locks, so even tas level rolling wouldn't get the pieces to the edge (as you need 1f input and 1f without input repeated for 4 units moved in 8f).

Also, Hebomai with his sub-4s. Eric might be aiming for that as well.
Another step towards beating the 810 line requirement level in classic NES Tetris!

God like powers ! That clean stack after level 1000 was incredible.
You've only reached the top, but also surpassed all the Japanese masters that came before you years ago; holy crackervolley
cleanest Shirase i've ever seen, even manual locking in 1200s 😲
idk anything about tgm but ggs on heehoo fast piece

Wow, you did it!
amazing dude
That 1200-1300 was literally absurd! You are a nestris world champion and a shirase world record holder, I'm truly amazed
Expertly done!
neat, now you have to get a guideline wr for the trifecta
I will actually be amazed if all of a sudden Eric just comes out with the tetrio Blitz WR, or even the PPT/TE:C Sprint WR
insane. dtet final furthest next??
Do you use one of the arcade joystick things to control the game?
he plays on keyboard
i remember somebody playing arcade version of this and he was even scoring in credits.

❤️🔝
Hey man big congrats on the huge win! all the hours have paid off!.
this looks quite impressive. By the way, how do you even get access to this game? I think i’d maybe like to try
AMAZING
Wow, congratulations. And it's still TGM why I have such respect for you with the game.
Any chance of hooking up with KevinDDR for AGDQ? ;)
unfortunately Kevin has kind of retired from tgm now

already have it

sub 4 coming soon to a player near you
waow big pro
I think you getting colors on nes tetris is more impressive !
Are you rolling for this or using the in game das

I wonder what an eye tracker would reveal for us, maybe we will understand your brain more.
i dont understand what is going on
TGM series is basically tetris but dev went "okay but what if harder"
real
those bursts are not okay
wtf
This is probably the worst audio experience ever lmao
