A friend and I were sharing with a Muslim man one night in a parking lot about Jesus. When we started talking about the gifts of the Holy Spirit my friend told him the first phrase of speaking in tongues that he received. bobysess naruto it's easier said than done, a person may schedule time to spend with God but temptation maybe too powerful and that scheduled time ends up getting used on sin, I think fellowship with Godly men is important. Get away from idle time that you spend on sin and hang out with men who are striving for perfection and pleasing the Lord. When you hang out with them try talking about holy things, ask questions, try not to talk about worldly things but heavenly things with them. It will encourage you and them and it could fire you up.

But, here is another problem: if salavation was already there before Jesus, then why did Jesus die? Seeds had been planted from studying Art History in university and world religions and archeology. Anyway, everything for me changed after that. I've even been going back to study the scrolls in their original language. I live by a university that actually houses a couple dead sea scrolls,so I'm quite fortunate. My faith is a miracle because I was suicidal sometimes and believed that if there was a creator that he hated me. I even didn't believe in free will and grew bitter about not having the choice to be born. I thought as long as I say 'god willing', then magically my choice would become Gods will. Now, I know better. I do consider my faith a miracle to be grateful for and it's completely changed my perspective on life and my circumstances.

When and english speaker refers to "injeel", they are referring to the original meaning before it was translated into a foreign language.

As a Muslim I would argue once does not enter heaven because of their good deeds as they'll never be enough. We enter paradise through the mercy of God only. Good deedssnd bad deeds are just the indicators of our character.

ZUBER AHMED Believing Jesus died for your and still sining does give access to heaven. But heaven is guaranteed when one choose to adjust his mind and change from his old way. It won’t be easy depending on kind life that person is living, but as long he call for help from God through his Son he’ll make progress and eventually be free of that sin.

We cannot deny that Ravi had his demons, had his struggles in life as any Christian would. HOWEVER, he never failed in preaching the Good News, in preaching the good grace of our Lord JESUS CHRIST. God Bless this man.

Even though Ravi was proven to be not wholeheartedly truthful. I still can't deny the wisdom in his words. But his life serves as a warning that we shouldn't put too much faith on our fellow man. Because anyone can fall.

This was an excellent explanation given by Ravi Zacharias for how to witness to a Muslim. At the end he mentioned that explaining the Trinity to unbelievers may be more difficult. Our minister recently used a simple illustration that I found very meaningful and thought I should share. He likened the Trinity to the molecule H2O, which is two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. As most people know, H2O is the chemical composition of water. Now most people will think of water in its liquid form. It is essential for life. We can only live about 3 days without it. But when water is heated up it can become steam or vapor. Other examples of vaporous water are clouds, fog and dew. But when water is frozen it becomes a solid...ice. H20 can take three different forms (liquid, solid, vapor) but it is still H20. Similarly, our God (who is all powerful after all) can have three persons in one, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It might be hard for us to understand, but it doesn't make it any less true.

It's a title of respect and reverence. Here are a couple of examples. Lord in Greek = KURIOS (Transliteration) In 1 Peter 3:6 Sarah called Abraham LORD. like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and CALLED HIM HER LORD. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear. In Genesis 32:18 Jacob called Esau LORD. "then you are to say, 'They belong to your servant Jacob. They are a gift SENT TO MY LORD Esau, and he is coming behind us.'" So someone being called Lord is nothing special. Same is with Jesus. Nothing special if Jesus is called Lord. The selective capitalisation is an interpolation by the translators of the manuscripts and that is not being honest with what is there in the manuscripts. Really random, but i really wanted to share the gospel with you: Many are so confused also about the gospel, so let me help you as well as God permits me to: if i asked you the question: "how do you get to heaven?" Would you answer me that being a good person can earn you the happines of God and you will enter heaven? The Bible states that no one is good: we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, you have very probably at least once in your life lied, or stolen something even if it was small, probably you have often used God's name in vain (as in omg) which is called blasphemy, you have for sure had sexual thoughts about someone, so to sum it all up: you would be a lying, thieving blasphemus adulteror at heart, which is only 4 of the 10 commandments and you probably have broken them all. And for this we deserve hell! One single sin is enough to send you to hell. And by doing good deeds, like loving everyone helping people ecc... we can not possibly cancel our previous sins and gain the favour of God. The only way we can get to heaven is through the Lord Jesus! I will explain that better: God has His Holy and just wrath prepared to fall upon all sinners, and we completely deserve that, but in God's infinite mercy He sent his only begotten Son to live a perfect life on this earth (something we could not possibly do ourselves) and to finally die on the cross bearing our sins and taking upon Himself the wrath of God that was supposed to be for us! True conversion is realizing that we are completely lost and putting our whole trust in the Lord Jesus and we will be cleansed by His blood, because He already bore our sins! In this way The Father will see us as pure through Jesus! As proof of our salvation we will automatically start hating the sin we once were slaves to and we will love God and His commandements! This doesn't mean that we won't be tempted by our past sins but if we get overcomed by temptation we will still hate the sin that we fall into. That is the gospel! And that is the only way you get to heaven and a few understand it. You could say he is one of the bravest people in the world like the professor or he’s a fellow human that is open to a conversation. We are supposed to discuss and see what is right from wrong in an open and respectful fashion, there is nothing wrong with that. We should not label the seemingly “other side” as anything before we have had numerous decent interactions if we can and understand our neighbor’s point of view. Hey, hope you guys are doing well. Personally, his response didn't shake up my faith, here is why from a Muslim POV. The Indian gentlemen is incorrect about some of his beliefs on Islam: As Muslims we too believe salvation is only in the hands of God. Belief in one God is enough to get you into Paradise according to Islam, similar to Christians where they must believe Jesus is their Lord and Savior to achieve salvation, correct? However, in Islam, belief alone is not enough. You must prove it through your actions. This is where the concept of good and bad deeds come into play, you must prove through doing good deeds and avoiding bad deeds. Quran 29:2 [Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?] So in Islam, I can believe in God, but if I have even one bad deed, then I will detour to Hell first, before God takes me out and places me into Heaven. Whereas my understanding in Christianity so far is, even if my bad deeds outweigh my good deeds, as long as I believe in Jesus as Lord and savior, then that is sufficient to skip Hell and go straight to Heaven. ------------------------------ In Christianity, I see two options: 1) Hell forever [due to disbelief in Jesus as Lord and Savior] 2) Heaven forever [due to belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior] In Islam, there are three: 1) Hell forever [due to disbelief in one God] 2) Heaven forever [due to belief in one God, and due to God's mercy in both accepting your good deeds and wiping away all your bad deeds (through repentance) ] 3) Detour to Hell for a certain time, then get into Heaven [due to belief in one God, but God did not forgive you for your bad deeds (you did not repent/regret in the worldly life) ] ------------------------------ So this is the true Islam, may God forgive me for any mistakes I have made, hopefully y'all found that interesting from a Muslim's POV

A friend and I were sharing with a Muslim man one night in a parking lot about Jesus. When we started talking about the gifts of the Holy Spirit my friend told him the first phrase of speaking in tongues that he received. bobysess naruto it's easier said than done, a person may schedule time to spend with God but temptation maybe too powerful and that scheduled time ends up getting used on sin, I think fellowship with Godly men is important. Get away from idle time that you spend on sin and hang out with men who are striving for perfection and pleasing the Lord. When you hang out with them try talking about holy things, ask questions, try not to talk about worldly things but heavenly things with them. It will encourage you and them and it could fire you up.

It helped me to find my way back to Christianity, truly believing for the first time now. A series of heated discussions followed. Tonight he told me that he tries to read the Bible and even wants to buy an arabic copy. I have been praying every evening for God to help him see the beauty of Christianity. Now there seems to be an actual chance that it might work. Please keep him in your prayers as well. Coming to the issue of Jesus as THE ONLY WAY TO GOD, we do agree that during his lifetime, he was the only way to God, but during the time of other prophets of God, they were the way to God. During the time of Moses, he was the truth, the way and the life, which means that by following this true way, you will get the life, the eternal life. And so it is for the other prophets during their time. If we say that ONLY Jesus is the way to God and the way to salvation, that means that God has commited a great injustice, becuse he will send to hell all the people that lived before Jesus. But of course that this is not true at all, because the way of salvation was there from the beginning. It would be unjust from God to send people to hell for not believing in his way of salvation, a way that didnt exist in the first place. So, the way of salvation was there. But, here is another problem: if salavation was already there before Jesus, then why did Jesus die? That means that Jesus died for nothing, which makes the situation even worst for the christians, because without the death of Jesus there is no christianity.
Yes, Jesus is way to salvation while living. He is still alive, so is still my Saviour Lord and Master. Who is yours? Ignoring all of Paul's letters, we still have testimony from Jesus' followers that he came to life again, many of whom chose painful deaths rather than lie about this fact. Seeds had been planted from studying Art History in university and world religions and archeology. Anyway, everything for me changed after that. I've even been going back to study the scrolls in their original language. I live by a university that actually houses a couple dead sea scrolls,so I'm quite fortunate. My faith is a miracle because I was suicidal sometimes and believed that if there was a creator that he hated me. I even didn't believe in free will and grew bitter about not having the choice to be born. I thought as long as I say 'god willing', then magically my choice would become Gods will. Now, I know better. I do consider my faith a miracle to be grateful for and it's completely changed my perspective on life and my circumstances.

This was an excellent explanation given by Ravi Zacharias for how to witness to a Muslim. At the end he mentioned that explaining the Trinity to unbelievers may be more difficult. Our minister recently used a simple illustration that I found very meaningful and thought I should share. He likened the Trinity to the molecule H2O, which is two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. As most people know, H2O is the chemical composition of water.
Now most people will think of water in its liquid form. It is essential for life. We can only live about 3 days without it. But when water is heated up it can become steam or vapor. Other examples of vaporous water are clouds, fog and dew. But when water is frozen it becomes a solid...ice. H20 can take three different forms (liquid, solid, vapor) but it is still H20. Similarly, our God (who is all powerful after all) can have three persons in one, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It might be hard for us to understand, but it doesn't make it any less true.

The Title: Lord
Calling someone Lord in both the OT as well as the NT does not make a person GOD and does not necessarily mean GOD as it is used for many people throughout. It's a title of respect and reverence. Here are a couple of examples.
Lord in Greek = KURIOS (Transliteration)
In 1 Peter 3:6 Sarah called Abraham LORD.
like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and CALLED HIM HER LORD. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
In Genesis 32:18 Jacob called Esau LORD.
"then you are to say, 'They belong to your servant Jacob. They are a gift SENT TO MY LORD Esau, and he is coming behind us.'"
So someone being called Lord is nothing special. Same is with Jesus. Nothing special if Jesus is called Lord. It's only a title of respect and reverence in the Jewish context.

Really random, but i really wanted to share the gospel with you:
Many are so confused also about the gospel, so let me help you as well as God permits me to: if i asked you the question: "how do you get to heaven?" Would you answer me that being a good person can earn you the happines of God and you will enter heaven?
The Bible states that no one is good: we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, you have very probably at least once in your life lied, or stolen something even if it was small, probably you have often used God's name in vain (as in omg) which is called blasphemy, you have for sure had sexual thoughts about someone, so to sum it all up: you would be a lying, thieving blasphemus adulteror at heart, which is only 4 of the 10 commandments and you probably have broken them all. And for this we deserve hell! One single sin is enough to send you to hell.
And by doing good deeds, like loving everyone helping people ecc... we can not possibly cancel our previous sins and gain the favour of God.
The only way we can get to heaven is through the Lord Jesus! I will explain that better:
God has His Holy and just wrath prepared to fall upon all sinners, and we completely deserve that, but in God's infinite mercy He sent his only begotten Son to live a perfect life on this earth (something we could not possibly do ourselves) and to finally die on the cross bearing our sins and taking upon Himself the wrath of God that was supposed to be for us!
True conversion is realizing that we are completely lost and putting our whole trust in the Lord Jesus and we will be cleansed by His blood, because He already bore our sins! In this way The Father will see us as pure through Jesus! As proof of our salvation we will automatically start hating the sin we once were slaves to and we will love God and His commandements! This doesn't mean that we won't be tempted by our past sins but if we get overcomed by temptation we will still hate the sin that we fall into.
That is the gospel! And that is the only way you get to heaven and a few understand it.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast

Muslims look upon the source of Bible as holy and divine and its medium as truthful men. And here is a verse of Al-Quran which confirms this statement:
” Say ye: We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac, and Jacob, and his children, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to all other prophets from their Lord. We make no difference between any of them; and to Him we submit ourselves.” (Al Quran 2:137)
Allah says in the Holy Quran:
“… Those who follow the Messenger, the Immaculate One, whom they find mentioned in the Torah and the Gospel which are with them.” Al-Quran 7:158)
That is a very good point. I didn't think about it this way.

First of all, peace be with you. Me and a Christian friend of mine sit almost weekly just to talk about life and faith here in a middle eastern country. You could say he is one of the bravest people in the world like the professor or he’s a fellow human that is open to a conversation. We are supposed to discuss and see what is right from wrong in an open and respectful fashion, there is nothing wrong with that. We should not label the seemingly “other side” as anything before we have had numerous decent interactions if we can and understand our neighbor’s point of view. Mr. Zacharias is right. You have to have a level of friendship, respect, or at least a good rapport in order to make any impact. I had a Muslim friend who had started to really question his Muslim faith, but we, unfortunately lost contact due to unforseen circumstances
He does not have perfect answer. It is your nett gooddeeds that will give you paradise.. How can a Christian be sure that he will go to paradise. Ravi did not give a definitive answer. It would be interesting to know the name of the Sheikh and contact who said that he would not question the crucifixtion. Why are there more conversions and reversions to Islam . Hey, hope you guys are doing well. Personally, his response didn't shake up my faith, here is why from a Muslim POV. The Indian gentlemen is incorrect about some of his beliefs on Islam:
As Muslims we too believe salvation is only in the hands of God. Belief in one God is enough to get you into Paradise according to Islam, similar to Christians where they must believe Jesus is their Lord and Savior to achieve salvation, correct?
However, in Islam, belief alone is not enough. You must prove it through your actions. This is where the concept of good and bad deeds come into play, you must prove through doing good deeds and avoiding bad deeds.
Quran 29:2 [Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?]
So in Islam, I can believe in God, but if I have even one bad deed, then I will detour to Hell first, before God takes me out and places me into Heaven. Whereas my understanding in Christianity so far is, even if my bad deeds outweigh my good deeds, as long as I believe in Jesus as Lord and savior, then that is sufficient to skip Hell and go straight to Heaven.

In Christianity, I see two options:
1) Hell forever [due to disbelief in Jesus as Lord and Savior]
2) Heaven forever [due to belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior]
In Islam, there are three:
1) Hell forever [due to disbelief in one God]
2) Heaven forever [due to belief in one God, and due to God's mercy in both accepting your good deeds and wiping away all your bad deeds (through repentance) ]
3) Detour to Hell for a certain time, then get into Heaven [due to belief in one God, but God did not forgive you for your bad deeds (you did not repent/regret in the worldly life) ]

@@msindependent5890 Every persons situation is different. There is a story of a man who converted to Islam and went directly to battle. Didn't pray a single Islamic prayer in his life, nor went to Hajj, but he still entered Paradise.
Hajj is only required for the financially and physically healthy

Allah is above having sons or daughters. Many things Jesus can do like bringing dead alive, healing sick, talking as baby, etc, but this doesn't make him a God or son of a god, like in Latin mythology lol

But my religion says those who did not know Islam was the truth, or were not exposed to Islam, would be judged differently. Only if a person knew Islam was the truth, and then denied it out of arrogance, would be deserving of an eternal punishment. I think I'm Christianity, no belief in Jesus means eternal punishment, no matter what your situation is
Actually Islam also says that your salvation is a gift of Grace
Your good deeds only have to out weigh your bad deeds if you aren't Muslim
