Uso tanto el poncho polaco ( lavu) como el plashpalatka soviético. Este último me ha resistido una tormenta furiosa pero debido a mí tamaño tuve que dormir muy encogido . A todos los he impermeabilizado con una mezcla a base de cera de abejas, trementina y aceite de lino. Una pieza muy polifuncional. Saludos desde Argentina
Yes, it's pretty decent! I have used it as a tarp in the rain but got caught in a bit of a storm so wrapped up in it, it shed water brilliantly. The only issue with adding oilcloth is that it does make it stiffer, so it doesn't hang as well, although I imagine that'll improve woth more use 😃
