Just to clarify how the Dungeon works. When you Venture into the "Runestone Caverns", it is not an "Until End of Turn" effect. The cards are exiled and you play them right then and there as part of the ability resolving (timing restrictions are ignored).
Wow a rare Turn one mistake, GSZ should be reshuffled into the deck when you got the Dryad Arbor
in fairness, thats probably the easiest turn 1 misplay to make
And shouldn't the Dryad Arbor be in the creature zone rather than land zone? I really dislike seeing it almost hidden back there.
@@Universum technically there is no zones per say so not really but putting dryad arbor with your lands is a bit scumbag since it's easy to ignore a board wipe lol not that I think mudstah here intends to be scummy with ot
@@AlchemicalLove there was a big thing that happened a few years ago involving the FTV dryad arbor hiding among forests and being used as a surprise blocker. that event lead to some zoning enforcements for cards with multiple types, like dryad arbor. though i believe they only apply to competitive level events. personally i tend to put all mana sources together at the bottom of my board, even artifacts and creatures like dryad arbor.
In official tournaments you have to keep your dryad's arbors easily distinguishably from the rest of your mana base.
Leaving the Martin punt aside in the end (Altar+Gravecrawler+Bone Miser+Dictate...), this was a very good game. Every deck had its chance to do what it is supposed to and had their moments.
Martin could have destroyed everyone's creatures when he had Dictate + Bone Miser + Phyrexian Altar and Gravecrawler in his yard, making it an easy win. Rip
One does not "forget" to untap lands. You do not get to not untap them, the table is obligated to remind/allow the untap. They do not have the words "you may choose not to untap" therefore the action takes place, the turn order cannot proceed until they are untapped.

Came here to say "shuffle GSZ back into you're library!" but knew in my heart it had already been said, lol. Only reason I'm so trained to look for that error is because I've done it so many times myself 😆
I honestly only know how to counter Andrew's spells, so running out Mono black led to many punts.
Martin punting with that one sided board wipe. Had the chance to infinitely cast gravecrawler and wipe everyone’s board.
I thought i'd seen everything till I saw Yavimaya in a mono red deck.
This victory felt personal I have a very similar Nadaar deck that I love and playing so it’s good to see another deck take the win
Liliana, Heretical Healer makes a zombie when it flips so there would have been an extra blocker to protect his walker or sacrifice to contamination the next upkeep.
Also, any idea why Sword of the Animist sat unequipped for so long after it was cast? They left 3 mana open a couple turns in a row before equipping so I thought they may have had Teferi’s protection, but then when the vandalblast came there was nothing.
Lastly, any reason for not grabbing the full 3 plains on all those land tax triggers? I’ve never seen a reason not too. It keeps you hitting you land drops as well as reducing the likelihood of drawing a plains going forward. If it forces you to discard, Plains in the yard are decent targets for Sun Titan and Seveinne’s Reclamation too.

"Forget to untap lands"
This may differ from the playgroup to playgroup, but don't the rules force you to untap lands and other pernaments (unless there is an effect that allows you to leave them turned)? Even if you forget, they must still be untaped? To me, it's ok to say "oops, I forgot to untap lands before I took the map" and usually everyone dosen't mind it.
Indeed, it's a mandatory action, if so next time I am gonna go "ops, i forgot to legend rule my commander"
I mean, I was just pointing out a silly mistake on my part. It would have been fine if I'd realized it later.
I couldn’t figure out why urzas saga would be sacrificed - contamination doesn’t work like blood moon, it doesn’t make it lose all other abilities, it just replaces what the mana ability could be. Am I missing something at the table?
I just dont get it. Why didnt Martin go for a contamination lock t3?

Wanted to note that Acerak goes back to hand before venturing into the dungeon. So when the 4/4 was made, acerak should've been put to hand.

Acererak and Aluren is great! I've added Acererak to my Scarab God deck which runs Rooftop Storm...yet to pull off the combo however! Have pulled off infinite enter the dungeons with my Acererak Commander deck tho. So much so I'm targeted on sight when I pull out the deck! 😂
I've got the combo in my Grimgrin aristocrat deck and it is very fun to play. Of all the degenerate combos the deck can do, Acererak is a fun way to win.
The Archlich deck seems pretty cool to me. Except I usually only play one liliana per deck.
I’m not sure if you’ve been asked this but would conjurors closet work well in Titania?
Certainly wouldn't be a bad addition. Could be nice to get lands back at the end of your turn. I'll try and find space for it!

I really want to build a mono-blue Grazilaxx deck, but I can't find enough cards that make my opponents make interesting choices.
From what I’ve seen, Grazilaxx is at his best when using and abusing extra turns while controlling the board with your standard suite of mono-blue stuff. What kind of choices are you interested in forcing?
I had a Grazilaxx deck that all about ETBs and controlling the board. I had some cards that mattered when they were blocked but deiced only keeping the one that really mattered. It's a fun deck during play testing.
I was a fool when I wrote this comment, I built the deck shortly after and it rules.
I'm confused, on the attack that took out Martin, why didn't he sacrifice Creatures until nick had nothing left to attack with? He wouldn't have lost any life

Like you have to finish the dungeon so you can play it? Wouldn't it be the final boss or maybe a transform card where completion of the dungeon turns it into the litch almost a reward/loot?
Also why would having an opponent sacrifice a creature stop the zombie making progress?

Why would Urza's Saga go to the gy at 12:11?
It has something to do with how Contamination makes it into a Swamp, but the Saga needs counters on it. I'll try to find the ruling online, but hopefully someone more experienced can explain it.
@@MTGMuddstah This is incorrect, Contamination is not a black blood moon, and does not affect land types, it just makes it so that if a land is tapped for mana, it instead makes Black
@@gdiridium5525 You are correct. I learned the hard way, though, that Blood Moon DOES send Saga to the yard.

What is the point of running etali if so done will always remove it.
Martin could have drained the board with the combo of gravecrawler and phyrexian altar it would be able to be cast and sacrificed over and over until everyone was dead as long as there was a blood artist like effect out on board
ok, something ive been wondering for a while. in a mono color deck, ehy would you run exotic orchard, and not just the basic land type of your deck?
In Ragavan specifically, the spell he exiles doesn't get the clause that you can cast it for any color. Max added it so he could cast any of those types of spells if needed.

Really bad to swing in with gravecrawler when you only have two creatures with Contamination. He could have locked the board for a while. Good to know he caught the mistake for the dungeon. It is always best to keep bouncin Ace for value.

@@holphe3787 He needs to feed a creature to Contamination every turn to keep it around, so the more creatures he spares, the better.

Nah first rebound trigger, then you may chose to cast it
The rebound trigger itself has to resolve first, and that doesn't have a target.

Nice to see mono W win the game. Although it shouldn't have ;) And the deck was good (especially with his Sun Titan play & the like), not the dungeons. They are so underwhelming..

For what it's worth as far as precons go it's pretty fun right out of the box and needs minimal upgrades to start running optimally
@@delanee yeah i do think you are right on that one. Add in some more 'venture into dungeon' cards and your are good to go. But ...i got like 40 decks at this point and i just (finally) bought a house. Need every penny i got atm XD
@@afspeellijstnaruto I actually went the other way with upgrades. Put in more cycling and discard enablers in order to proc sefris on everybody's turn which works quite well.

Iirc reminder text doesn't count towards color identity so it should be fine
Correct, Extort has White in the REMINDER TEXT, not the RULES TEXT. So it can be played in mono white or black decks.
There are two types of texts on Pontiff of Blight: rules and explanation. The explanation text is inside the parentheses. Any mana symbol part of the rules text is part of the color identity of a card. Any mana symbol part of the explanation text is not part of a card's color identity. So, Pontiff of Blight can be played in a monoblack deck.
