My #1 is Arkham Horror LCG. It's an old game (2016, I believe) but it is so incredibly good. I played it for the first time about a year and a half ago. Since then, my wife and I have played it, on average, about every-other day. We have 3 young kids, so we are unable to find time to play every day, so the fact that we find time 3-4 times a week to play should speak of how highly we love this game.
Oh I’ll be honest, I have never played that game and after reading these comments there are about 8 people that have said to play that game! We must check it out - trev
Good luck on your channel! My wife and I are fellow Utah board gamers so if you are ever in St George we’ll host game night! My favorite games are root, spirit island, and Kanban EV
Hello from New Zealand! Love your content and another great video. My top 3: 1. Roll Player Adventures My favorite RPG/campaign boardgame. So so good. 2. Pandemic Legacy Season 1 - Pandemic bought me into the hobby. I've played all 3 pandemic legacy games and although its not the smoothest of the 3, nothing beats the experience of the first one. Great game! 3. Dune Imperium My favorite and most played deck-building/engine builder. Often compared to Lost Ruins of Arnak and Endless Winter, its the best of three IMHO .
👋 hello New Zealand! I love pandemic season 1 i am about half way though right now! It is awesome! Im going to look into dune imperium I hear so much about it!
Always fun to find a new channel! You're so excited about your games! Top 2.. 2-player only War of the Ring 2nd edition Android Netrunner 2 or more.... Gallerist Obsession Concordia Too many honorable mentions to list!
I’m gonna see if I can get Root to the table this weekend at 2! You’ve inspired me! My all time favourite is also Root, but my other contenders are: - Spirit Island - Imperium (Classics/Legends) - Unmatched - Lost Ruins of Arnak I love a good asymmetric game is what I’m deducing from my own list. A recent purchase of mine is The Loop, and if I can get this to the table with my friends, i can see it rise very far.
I love your lists! What is your favorite Everdell expansion? I have spirecrest, and was wondering if there’s another one really worth getting. Also, if you guys haven’t tried Lost Ruins of Arnak or Parks, I think those games would be right up your alley.
Sorry for the delayed response! Personally I think Bellfaire really helps the scoring portion of the game. I feel like the base game is missing some things and completes them. Now we only play Everdell with Bellfaire. It wouldn’t be the same without it. We also have Pearlbrooke and I thought was a lovely edition of a little more advanced gameplay. Plus the pieces are adorable. WE LOVE PARKS! It’s so cute! And Ruins of arnak is definitely on our radar!
I like most all of the games you listed. Thanks for the advice on Root, since I mostly play games at 2P, good to know that's an option. So hard to just name three, but I'd say: 3: Cascadia 2: Splendor Duel 1: Viticulture Honorable mentions to Race for the Galaxy and Castles of Burgundy. I also own Everdell and Arnak and expect at least one of them will jump into the top three when I get around to playing them.
@@ghtddkc Scythia is basically the same game as RotNS, just with some of the expansion content built in. I have both expansions to North Sea already and I prefer the art style in North Sea. I also very much enjoy Architects of the West Kingdom as well.
Enjoyed your Top 10 lists. My top 3 are: - Final Girl (Solo only, but it's SO good, I can't stop playing it) - Dice Throne (I'm down to play this anytime, anywhere, with anyone) - Unmatched (This is the game that got me into the hobby. Every new set is an instant purchase for me)
this was such an awesome list! I own and love all of those game you mentioned, except for Dead Reckoning, which i have been meaning to be get but it is SO expensive 🥴
@Pax Games Hi. Yedo is a worker placement game where you complete missions for Japanese mafia or clans. Its hard to explain why I love it so much. It's a fun and very challenging worker placement with the added fun and challenge of completing missions. To me it feels really thematic for a Euro.
I loved both of your top 10 lists! I have shied away from Root because I didn't want to end up buying 30 expansions but you've got me reconsidering🙂. My top 3 are Clank, Cloud City and Space Park
I take it you guys kickstarted the expansion for Dead Reckoning? I have yet to play it but very excited to.I would also like to play Edge of Darkness by the same designer (John D. Clair)
Current top 3: 3 - Tapestry 2 - Lost Ruins of Arnak 1 - Dune Imperium What are you using for shelving in the background? I am currently looking for a good storage solution for the constantly growing collection.
So funny story we live with my grandma and she had this shelf already here, and I can’t find the name of it 😂. But I know that a lot of people like the Kallax shelf from ikea
Your #3/#4 is definitely amazing how it “ ramps up” and is “ combo-riffic” once one learns how to play. There are several in your lists that could be in my top #3, including Monique’s number #1 once I get it played! Three that I have played that are top #3 tier for me: 1. Orleans ( looking forward to playing with its “ Invasion” and “ Trade & Intrigue” expansions someday too.) 2. Castles of Burgundy ( in its Deluxe format especially which will help with teaching others, table presence and playability.) 3. Glen More II: Chronicles
I think that dead reckoning would be on everyone’s top 10 list! It’s so awesome! And thanks for sharing your top 3 games we are making a list of all the games people tell us so we have a “to buy” list 😂
Great list! I haven't played Dead Reckoning before, so that's something to try to find now. Top 3 is tough, but right now probably: - Terra Mystica - Oath - Eclipse
Meadow maybe it would be a game to try (if you haven't tried it yet). Animal theme and hand management. Verdant is interesting if you enjoyed Cascadia. Finally, Flamecraft seems to be a good one to try (cute working dragons + hand management). Other titles to consider: Libertalia, Winds of Galecrest, Blue Lagoon. Finally, two great classics are Viticulture and Terraforming Mars. My top 5: 1. Dune: Imperium 2. Gloomheaven Jaws of Lion 3. Terraforming Mars 4. Viticulture 5. Brass Birmigham

@@Fatpie42 I don't remember any nuts, just cheese. Yeah, it's really quick, and fun. I played it incorrectly for awhile. It's more challenging the right way. The Mouse and Cat can only move by playing a card next to them. Otherwise, the pathways only count at the end of the game.
Great list and I was surprised with Dead Reckoning being #1 and I applaud your pick because I love this game. My top 3 1. Agricola 2. On Mars 3. Spirit Island
Difficult to make a top 5 list: - Carcassonne (my first big board gaming love) - Teotihuacan (the ultimate euro and I'm all in on the recent deluxe kickstarter) - Dominion (the granddaddy of deck builders and still the best and the expansions are all so good) - Azul (an excellent abstract game and even more portable with the recent release of Azul Mini and it is BRUTAL at 2 player) - Spirit Island (the ultimate coopertive game and with so much going on it is still awesome when playing solo) But then what about a social deduction like Scape Goat or Resistance: Avalon, and perhaps a party game like Cockroach Poker or Perudo, and maybe a less heavy cooperative game like Forbidden Island (or Desert, or Sky) and oh my goodness Isle of Cats is so good!
Fun list guys! My top three games include two by the same designer as Root (Cole Wehrle) - they are all a bit on the heavier side... 1. Pax Renaissance 2e 2. Pax Pamir 2e 3. John Company 2e
Top 3: 1 Mage knight 2 Spirit Island 3 Lost ruins of Arnak I can dive myself so deep ,so easily in them.
