    How do these compare to the Klipsch RP 600rm,which you can buy at Crutchfield for $349 a pair?

    I heard these speakers at Audio Advice live, now I know that it was at a show but not at my own home but I felt they were good but the Kef Q Series sounds better way better and they are on sale so often they are a great value for money.

      They're back to regular price :( Thanks for the feedback, though. I was seriously contemplating the Q150's. Maybe they'll go back to $300-350 Black Friday.

    Great review on the Elac speakers! Would you be interested in doing an update video of your set up? I've noticed a lot of changes since you got started so many years ago. I see you put in the work with all of your home theater tours. Maybe do something fun with it where someone interviews you and your home theater. Just an idea, take care Mike!

      Thank you for the kind words. Yes it’s definitely on the to do list. I have already talked to Brad from Home theater gamer to see if he would be willing to come over and help me film it. We just need to set a date because pretty much everything has changed in the past two years.

    Thanks for the review! Good job Elac! The phase plug looks really nice! Pretty good looking speakers. I think ELAC would be a good brand for Obsessed Home Theatre to take on. Lots of good brands to choose from though. I still think you guys should consider CerwinVega! They pack a punch like nothing else for the price. Unfortunately there seems to be a stigma around the brand that stops reviewers from taking them seriously. It would be a good brand because they offer something different. High efficiency power houses at a low price. What more can you ask for when building a home theatre? There model lines are definitely dated and could use a refresh, but they are still a good option to play loud,without breaking the bank. I know it’s a long shot and Matt probably couldn’t get passed the red surrounds and dated looks lol! 🤣 Hopefully Vega! Continues to improve on there designs and fit and finish, and they can become a respectable name in the industry again! 👍🏻🔈

    • @Youthman
      @Youthman  19 дней назад

      Unfortunately, I want something that sounds good and looks good. Until Sherwin Vega provides a refresh and removes the red surrounds and tweeters, it’s a no go for me.

      @@Youthman haha! I hear ya. The high efficiency big woofer paper cone 3 way design is a good concept, I wish a manufacturer like Polk or Klipsh would do there take on a modern looking Big woofer floor stander. I really think it would be a hit.

    On a side note of budget friendly could you do some projectors at $2000 and under. Projectors to help bring the people into the hobby. Id love to own a JVC or even a Sony but right now its out of my price range. I current use a 2022 model optima projector native 4k and i love what i have for the price point cause it gets me a 137 inchs of screen at 16:9. I feel like a lot of people might over look the budget friendly option of projectors thinking the picture quality is awful and thats not always the case. There no JVC or Sony but they get you into the hobby amd thats whats fun.

    • @Youthman
      @Youthman  19 дней назад +1

      I totally agree George. My first projector was a Panasonic AE3000U because I couldn’t afford a JVC or Sony. But it worked great and I was very pleased.

    1300$ is 3.1 system. if you want also back speakers, let say also D3, add 700 $, this means 2000 $. Also you need a AVR. 500 to 1500 $. And wires and conectors and time and room treatment and calibration and etc. All together, $3000 is not enough. So in real life is not that simple, not that cheap, even the so called "budget" system. And today, if someone will go with new system, will probably want to have atmos. ? And soon is 3.1 not enough, but 7.2.4 and external amps and so on and on ... means suddenly even 5000$ it is not enough. I guess that system is another level compared with soundbars, but Q990C i get for less than 1000$. Plugged in and you are done. Elac 3.1, another level, yes, of course, but you pay for that 3x more. Must be a huge difference. But is it for real? In the end, it's absurd, that $5,000 system will still be considered as "cheap" audio equipment among audio enthusiasts. And this is only 1/3 of home theater or even less. You need video equipment and appropriate room also. So for most people, this are dreams only. RUclips channels are marketing sellers. Of course they want you to spend as much as possible. They called "budget king" with a reason. So you think is great and affordable. But in reality is not cheap. Even only 1000$ is not small amount of money. Q990C i consider also as expensive, for most of folks.

    • @Youthman

      I know people that will spend several hundred thousand dollars in a lifetime on cigarettes, alcohol, or gambling. I personally would rather have a nice home theater.
      Some choose to drive a new vehicle every 3 to 5 years. I choose to drive a 2013 Ford Explorer with 200,000 miles.
      We all spend money on what we prioritize. If you’re content with the sound bar, there’s nothing wrong with that. But I have zero regrets on building My Home Theater.
      This has been a 30 year journey for me. I began with used gear and speakers. At one time my front three speakers were 40 year old Kliosch LaScalas and I paid $700 for them.
      When I first started out in the hobby, I didn’t have any extra income to build a theater. So I bought and sold speakers to make enough profit to build out a home theater. Again, all of my equipment was used, but it sounded amazing and at the end of the day after several years of buying and selling, I had zero dollars invested in my entire home theater. I will easily take over any sound bar any day. There is absolutely is no comparison between the two experiences.

      @@Youthman My point was not for what someone spend their money, but how much someone can spend. Several hundred thousand dollars for ... if they can afford it, they are the "lucky" ones :)))
      Im not from USA, so my income budget is much lower. Also electronics in Europe is more expensive, approx. 30%.
      I'm glad you're living my dream. That's why I follow your channel. For now. Maybe someday? Certainly never your level, but a modest room intended for a home cinema? Maybe? I wish. And Elac complete system is one of the options. Is in that Klipsch price environment.
      And PS: i dont smoke, drink or gamble. But i have a wife, four kids, dog, cat ... and a large old house to renovate ;)

      I still enjoy the RF7 series, especially the RF7 III as they have the smoothest top end of the series. I sold them because the MartinLogan F200’s are a 3-way design, have a dedicated midrange driver and are white which matches our living room decor.
