Really enjoyed the explanation for 40k fans, definitely would have loved a Tau deck. I’m gonna buy the set for my play group, we’ll play for a day and then I’m gonna rip the decks apart for my cube :D

    Really nice video!
I do have some lengthy criticism regarding your take on the necron deck x)
In general, I tend to think that monocolor anything in commander is automatically more interesting than the majority of other decks. And mechanically, necrons fit firmly in mono-black. Getting stuff back from the graveyard, their ambition to reclaim the stars and the soulless servitude of their armies and their C'tan masters all fit black perfectly, let alone the heavy artifact subtheme, which is reminiscent of early phyrexian cards (which were either black or artifacts until tempest & invasion blocks introduced things like Volrath and the corruption of other colors).
I can sort of see the argument for why they'd fit blue, but necrons do not strive for progress but rather to reclaim what they have lost, in spite of posessing extremely advanced technology. Many of the current lords and phaerons even blame the necron's fall on their over-reliance on tech on top of the usual C'tan depression, so that sets them fairly against tech-centric factions like the mechanicus. Necrons may act like they are beacons of calculating logic, but necron nobles are just as likely to fall to petty arguments and fits of spite-fueled conflict as they are to their actual enemies, so blue doesn't actually fit them that well.
Regarding white being part of their color pie, I have no idea for what arguments you can make. Aside from a few minor characters like Nemesor Zahndrekh and the Necron's use of large armies and troop buffs, I really do not see it.
From a pure mechanics standpoint, there is no shortage of artifact centric decks that will want these cards (aristoscraps, junkyard decks, etc...), even outside of commander, so I also don't know where the issue of "the color pie limits what black can do with artifacts" came from. Staying in the theme of sacrifice and recursion fits them perfectly imo.
Now, I will give you that there are plenty of weird powerscale problems in the deck though 🤨
Szarekh himself being so weak is very dissapointing. It's true that a lot of his power comes from the Dias of Dominion, but why not give it to us as a card then, like the emperor's throne ? It's not as well known or iconic, but they had an entire deck to create!
And as you said, the deck is rife with strange power/toughness situations. Hopefully, the deck will be fun to play to compensate for those issues!
