I raced a RD350 prody bike in 74 &75, remember being at club meeting at croft when Ron Haslam, Roger Marshal and Cork Ballington turned up, using the meeting to practice. I rode in 500 production, 350cc against TZ's and the open race, everything upto 1000cc. there were fields of more than 35 bikes in every heat and race. I had a couple of 6th places in 500 and 350 race and qualified for the final open. the highlight of that race was being in 8th place comming onto the home straight, and as Ron Haslam lapped me he turned and looked at me and waved me on to complete another lap (finishing 8th and not lapped) other interesting thing they were all in the same type of tranny as me only newer, no flash motor home, artic and hospitality. those definitely were the days.
