Control of Printing money is with RBI and not with the government. And printing money is usually the last resort to pump money in to the economy. RBI has also taken various other measures to pump in money by lending to the government at subsided rates and is also evaluating whether this option (printing money) right now.

If a govt. Just prints more money...it might lead to inflation...ok....then if a govt. Borrows money from world bank or ADB, and distributes to people....it should also lead to inflation right...? But why doesnt it lead?
Govt won't distribute money to people just like that.. Govt will only make sure the flow of money in the economy doesn't affect at any cause. Even borrowing from world bank has to be repaid.. Again the money is repaid through the people's money (tax, tolls etc)
So when a world bank lends money to a country...does it lends it in currency terms or in terms of goods or service ?
Ex : I read in an article that world bank helps a govt. By funding for some projects through various companies....and the govt.must repay the world bank through the income generated by the project.
And if govt borrows money from world banks and makes sure that the flow doesnt affect the economy, then cant they do the same when they print money? I m really confused with this concept.
