I wish she went through all of Drew’s results. I saw balkans and northern india, very surprising! I love ancestry!
1:43 yes! You’re right! Thank you
Many of Europeans has indian dna especially roma community
I agree wish there was more on Drew 13 world regions that’s amazing 😮❤️❤️
My husband & I did our DNA with Ancestry 5 years ago. We`ve found out so much. A man who I had worked with for years, at 2 different jobs, turned out to be my 4th cousin. And it made perfect. We have always laughed at each other's jokes, finished each other's sentences, and pulled pranks on each other just like siblings. My wonderful husband, at the age of 73, found out who his father was. Unbeknowist to him, he had lived a across the road from his 1st cousin for close to 40 years. Sadly, his father & his cousin were both deceased, but it still answered so many questions.
Wow!!!!! That is so freaking amazing.
Her ancestor who was the oldest actress had a daughter who was a Mrs. John Drew, who was also a part of an acting dynasty. Her grandfather was named John Drew Barrymore to honor both families & Drew also carries the name.
Did they really completely skip over the 6% northern India in Drew’s results? That’s super uncommon and interesting. I wonder where it came from
There's probably no outright verification for that region most likely because it's probably from a less recent ancestor.
I know the Roma (Gypsies) originated in South Asia, so maybe it's from that. I don't know if she has any Roma ancestry, though.
@@curtis1415 she’s still 6% northern india. That’s absolutely significant enough to be mentioned
It is 6% is the equivalent of a full 2nd great grandparent grandparent who was full Indian if you look at her tree it says her great grandfather was born in I did too a Englishman working for the East India company his wife is probably where the Indian is coming from
@@reisanderson9069 no if she had any gypsy background she will get that
I’m just going to say this if anyone hasn’t said they love you today I love you! Keep your head up god loves you
❤ Ahhh I love you too
All of us genealogists running off to see if we got any new matches 😅
I have had my AncestryDNA results and I thought I would be probably around 85%+ British…but now I know that I have more relatives in the US than I do here in the UK!! I did reach out to some of my biological grandfather’s family but they didn’t want to know, which is understandable because it would be a shock for anyone to find out that they had a Brit family too, but I really hope that they change their mind about it because I’d really like to get to know them all.
I discovered some Scandinavian ancestry that I didn't know about. It's so cool, it's like getting a window into a secret part of you and your past
I want to come to talk to you, Zoom or Live!! I took a DNA test for Health History and discovered that I wasn't related to my dad! I now help people go through what I did, what I am calling Identity Level Trauma®. I am partnered with The Seventeenth Surgeon General to help people through this and was interviewed by Oprah about it. So much to share with you about it all. It's a beautiful and crazy journey!! I LOVE your open heart, all of YOU!!!! I am so grateful for you in THIS world xo🌺🏵💜
The 6% North Indian is EXTREMELY interesting. She’s probably like 8% Indian bc I see other regions. Her Great Grandfather Maurice Barrymore was born in India. He is the patriarch of the Barrymore acting family and based on her results he was likely an Anglo-Indian who passed as white.
I discovered I have a half sister through DNA results! I'm 39 and she is 36. we just met for the first time a week ago! Ancestry is so amazing!
Wow that's awesome
Interestingly, Barrymore was the stage name that passed through generations. The actual name of the Barrymore clan was Blyth.
OMG Drew...my mind is blown. My Irish ancestry is also located in the Muenster region (my dad's side), but I only have the DNA results for that. Right now my cousin and I have managed to document the family in Antrim, Ireland (Northern Ireland) and the US but we haven't gone back far enough to get to Muenster. Hope the genealogy bug has a hold on you and can't wait for updates! 😊
It's Munster!
@@StueyTheWiz sorry…had the cheese in my brain. 😂
My OBrien family from there too
Me too! My grandmother is an O'Brien from Munster
Yawn
You were fantastic, Lisa. So professional and friendly.
😊
You're awesome Drew! You Rock! 🤘🥁🤘
Who knew Drew Barrymore had Indian (South Asian) heritage. I didn't. I don't really think she knew. I just wish they'd showed more of her results! Her ancestry's more interesting than I thought lol
I wonder if she has Roma in her background from her mother's side. They originated in South Asia.
She may have had an ancestor in the east India company. They commonly had a common law wife while there and brought any light skinned children back to England with them.
@@disgruntledunicorn007 Her family does have an East India Company connection, but her mother was Hungarian so Roma from that side quite possible.
@@nicolad8822 well there you go 🙂
@@PlannedObsolescenceHer mother is Hungarian not Roma. Her Indian ancestry comes from her Barrymore line. Her Great Great Great Grandfather lived in India. He married a woman who was half British half Indian.
I just found out that she is my 14th cousin.
Hey drew barrymore from westley jordan in merrillville and you're awesome and you rock
Great job Lisa! 🤗
So nice to know family ancestry
My top result was Ireland / Munster too Drew!! Hope we're distantly related haha
Speaking of which my maiden is Mathews, spelled the same as this guy ,which is unique!
So much fun ☺️🥰😍💥🤩
I adore both of you Blessings
Drew welcome to the fold. I did this test I am 50 percent Irish.
Some of my family is from Cork which to me means I'm cousins with Drew from rebel city. Love!
Drew needs to explore her matches!
My family is from Cork Ireland too! Rebels!!
Munster isn’t the west coast, it’s South/South West. The western province she’s describing is Connaught. But anyway.
Muito linda !
Drew Barrymores from Cork!! 😂😂😂 The Rebel County
Oh, I hope I get some new close cousins with this new publicity.
Yay momma!!! ❤❤
And some of us find out we have a different biological father and other half siblings... so you never know what info you'll get!
Fun!
My OBrien family from Munster too, my DNA is proving that
Will u be in another new movie?
I love this Show.🇺🇸💌🇺🇲🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Drew, my ancestors were Sicilian.
Munster in the south, Cork is the rebel county. Suprised drew has irish ancestry.
Munster is in the south of the country of Ireland and its not the rebel city but the Rebel County! Up Cork!!
I must be Irish too because I am 100% that rebel, lol
SHe is very proud of his Hungarian mother! ❤😊
I am impatiently waiting on my test. On paper, I have found over 700 ancestors.
I have ancestry has Irish from Munster to, drew I’m a rebel to lol ❤
Drew needs to make a Punk rock Albumn called Rebel City
She's all over the place
They didn’t touch on Drew’s Indian ancestry, surely that would have been an interesting story!??
Yes, it was strange they didn’t touch it! Maybe Drew didn’t want to talk about it.
Munster is a big region of Ireland not a place. It's the size of new England in North West USA.
Hiiii first!😊😮
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Me next🤣
And Drew your also Romany Gypsy. Something to be proud off. ❤❤❤
FYI Munster is the Southern region of Ireland not Western! Unless yer one giving the results meant Southwest…
men feel safer when their wife hosts a show with a man like her cohost.
I don’t know my family.
Good way to get that f a gathered yeah!
👀
His grandmother married a man as well 🤣🤣
I love how white people find out where they truly come from...😅😅😅
Wtf is that... thing
You have a lot in common with your grandma. She married a man too.
What a surprise, Drew is part Irish, that's what the teleprompter told her anyway, what a rebel.
It's only 34 percent, it's not a massive.
Girl you'll have to visit the People's Republic of Cork ❤🤍 🇮🇪
I’ve been and Cork is amazing!
Yeeeesss! Come to Cork, Drew, we will love having you here!!
Love it ; the peoples republic of cork !🙏
I’m kinda irked we didn’t get to see Drew’s ancestry more…wtf
That man has woman voice😮
