Hello André, another interesting video I had missed, thanks. I do agree that the D-808 badly mises the VF/VM function. However direct access to memories just requires one extra button push, not a big deal.
Maybe that's just me, but I haven't quite found what's so nice in the ETM function. And on the PL-368, I regret that after one does an ETM scan, when browsing the stored station, the memory number is not shown in the top left angle of the screen. Unlike what happens when an ordinary scan is done using the SW- button. So well, I don't use ETM much in the end.

Thanks Alain! For me the most useful aspect of the ETM function is actually the scanning and saving in a separate memory bank. I use it often for that, but rarely return to listen to the saved stations. What I mean is I usually do new ETM scans every day, so whatever was saved the previous day, just disappears again the next day.

Tx for the review Andre! I bought the 109 and also the Tecsun pl-368, and I prefer the 109! The Tecsun does more, excellent too, but I’m not that much in sw bands, I prefer the feel of the 109 and the better audio sound!

The sound on the D-109 is really one of its best features. I use my PL-368 with an external speaker these days. I plug it into my Tecsun ICR-110, which has a great passive radiator speaker, very good sound. The PL-368 is a very good radio, but it is let down a bit by its own speaker, it sounds much better when plugged into a better speaker.

I use the ETM+ when I want to chill out… the D808 despite the page memory system is great for DXing….

I totally agree! When I first got the 330 I did the whole set up of the radio and let the radio perform the ETM+ scan. The first time I did it I was very impressed. And going through it all many times always finds me something new. It’s built better in some ways than I thought. Still not a fan of the mute on tuner but this radio is really nice.

I really agree with everyone here about the ETM and ETM+ on the Tecsuns, it is such a great feature. I use it very often, helps me find stations easily. Kind of a "lazy" way to DX 😊 But very useful.

The D-808 is a great radio, but I found that when I got my Tecsun PL-368 it became my first choice for portable SW DXing. I just find it so comfortable to hold and use and I think it is a bit more sensitive than the D-808. I still use the D-808 a lot for MW DXing, it is probably the most sensitive portable MW DXing radio around, unless you pay a lot more money for some of the Sangean or CCrane radios.

I'm sorry, can you explain a bit more what you would like to know. I don't think I quite understand what it is that you would like to know.

@@swlistening First of all thank you for answering me I actually wanted to know how to memorize the stations to have in memory my favorite stations thank you

@@KrissDucky95 If you want to save a station to memory you need to tune to that station. Then press the M button. You will see the memory numbers flashing at the top right of the screen. Then use the tuning wheel to select the memory number you want, so if you want to save it as number 1, turn the tuning wheel until the number one is flashing. Then press the M button again. It will be saved. It will delete whatever else was there under number 1, so just keep track of what you are saving where, maybe by making some notes. You can also manually enter the memory number to save, instead of using the tuning wheel. So find the station you want to save, press M, enter the memory number, for example 001, and press M again. To view your saved stations remember to press VM, to put the radio in memory mode. Then you can use the tuning wheel to navigate between the saved stations.
