I've been building and servicing ponds for 17 years now, our company is San Diego pond and garden out of Poway California. I can't believe that filtration system has a UV light built in and no sort of automatic switch to turn it off when the drum filter lid is removed. The UV light doesn't hurt your eyes when looking at it however it is causing permanent eye damage. Please unplug the UV light before you service the drum filter, I promise you will thank me later. LOL

You need a "Life Science, Water King Blanketweed controller" WK1PP.

That's a lot of stribf algae. How often do you have to clean it out?

I only got string algae during the pond's first season. Didn't get any at all last year.

How much does this system cost you? It’s so good!

I was lucky enough to get it secondhand. RDFs will usually start at about $3k.
