- Spent the beginning of rush hour at SEPTA's North Broad Station on the Main Line where all Regional Rail routes pass and stop at the station. Some horn blows are featured in this video along with Silverliner IV's, Silverliner V's, and SEPTA's push pull sets with AEM-7's with Bomber coaches! And to this day the poor passengers are still waiting for their 551 train to Center City. Great video!
Train 541 according to the Alvin voice
I Like Septa Trains
Finally a video from the Philly bound platform!!! (I shouldn't be talking though, I made 2 from the outbound)
Those Budd Co. Silverliner IV's look great, such a shame to hear about the V's though, I like them a lot. Hopefully they'll be returned to service soon.
The IV’s are made by General Electric but the first 3 are made by budd
Actually, the were also made by Avco.
i might come here next week
be careful... not the best neighborhood
Is there a way to tell in advance what Regional Rail trains have the Silverliner 5 cars?
I dont think so
I love SEPTA's new MU Cars... (tone down the large striping and color graphics) but I still say there's nothing wrong with the Silverliner IV's....it's too bad the South Shore Line here can't take 6 or 8 of those, refurbish them as standbys. They'd go well alongside our Nippon Sharyo MU's. They look great although I know they'd need to be retrofitted for 1500 Volt Catenary. Is this on the Reading Side of the system? I've been on the ex Pennsy Side, and where do you pick up this line in Center City? A Chicago Railfan...Saxie :)
882 at the end, the last Silverliner V delivered to SEPTA, and 701 at the beginning, the first Silverliner V delivered to SEPTA
Was the AEM-7 on a detour? I thought the AEM's only ran on the Trenton line.
That set was coming out of the yard to go to the Trenton Line.
SEPTATransitFan So it was a Trenton AEM?
they run on on the Wilmington line too
stevefromPA2 and media/elwyn (morning train 5340 only)
And don't forget the Paoli/Thorndale Line
Those rails only belong to septa?
YES
Yes
Yes
Fanners` aversion to filming station dwells mystifying..I fancied learning how passengers must clamber on and off the trains when one eventually! called at your station..oh well.
Music fills the void lol
When SEPTA introduce modern trains? Are they from the 70's or 80's?
huh? the Silverliner Vs are from 2010 after they retired the IIs and IIIs.
