Here's our favourite of Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) and his truly deranged enunciations. From "painnnnnnn" to "BOOOONE", Holt sure does have a way with words, especially when he's hanging out with the Nine-Nine!
From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The series also stars Terry Crews as Sargeant Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti and Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle.

I hate to say it but ‘velvet thunder’ just makes me think of a muffled fart that has treacherously escaped, wreaking havoc on nearby members of society.
Velvet Thunder has been the name of my fantasy football team for about 6-7 years.

Sometimes, when I watch the “Bone” scene, I wonder what the conversation at home between Captain Holt and Kevin must have been like:
Capt: Kevin, we’ve been bickering, and it’s been quite distressing.
Kevin: I agree, Raymond. What do you suggest we do?
Capt: It’s been brought to my attention that perhaps the reason for our squabbling is due to the fact that my working the night shift has left us with little opportunity for a romantic interlude.
Kevin: Someone actually said that to you??
Capt: Well, it was Detective Diaz, so she didn’t exactly say THAT.
Kevin: What. did. she. say., Raymond?
Capt: She, ummm .. she said we need to ….. bone.
.. and then for 40 minutes, like Captain Holt did, Kevin randomly yells out “Bone??!!” ….. until they finally do it.
