the way Laura repeatedly dismissed AD's attempts to tell Laura that the bean dipping comments were offensive to Clay was a really bad look (in addition to the bad look of having said the comments in the first place and the disrespect to AD herself!)
TOTALLY! She tried to brush it off like it was nothing...😒 You could tell she knew she f*cked up by the way she threw Jeremy under the bus.

Yeah, I hate how everyone felt comfortable sexualizing AD, especially Laura. You just don’t joke about having your fiancée go SA another woman. The fact that Laura thought it was okay to do it herself was to much too. In Europe, they used to have curvy black women naked in the zoo for public display, mockery, and humiliation. Laura casually joking about her fiancée doing that makes it seem like she viewed AD’s body as public property or something. It was disgusting how Laura dismissed AD when she was telling her it wasn’t a joke. SA is never a joke
It was so disrespectful. And Laura trying to brush it off like it was nothing... I was like "Giiiiirl, just apologize and admit you f*cked up". 😒
@@denisespieces4744 No, that would have been to much for her. 🙄 This should be a wake-up call to all of them, especially her spouse. The ease of which she threw him, AD’s feelings, and the guys down for ‘repeating such a childish joke’(again, HER joke) let’s you know how deceitful is and how she will rather stomp on them and blame shift instead of apologize.

Great points about over-sexualizing AD and how ladies need to be more cognizant of the conversations we have about men, especially if they’re being filmed and going to be aired on tv.
I do think AD is a beautiful woman and has the most desirable features out of the ladies so I’m not sure if it’s because of her race or just general appearance, although Brittany appears to be attractive as well, she just doesn’t have prominent features in her chest and backside like AD. Definitely was a bit much and everyone needs to chill.
And the women discussing the men’s endowments was cringey. Idk if I’ve ever engaged in that convo but would discuss the topic of sex in a group setting occasionally, but now if it comes up I just stay quiet and don’t have much to say. I do think it is quite crass to discuss some things especially like size that many men are very self conscious about.
I actually felt kind of bad for the guys that the women were talking about their private parts, specially because size is a sensitive topic for every men.
In the Brazilian version, Dai breaks up with Rodrigo bc he told the guys something very intimate and specific about their sex life and poor thing... she was so hurt. Like the trust was broken.
People that go on LIB need to be aware that whatever they say or do will be filmed and if they end up getting married, their spouse will watch it all when it airs.
@@denisespieces4744 yes, I remember Day being upset with Rodrigo telling the guys something about their relations. Some girls may be OK with that and want their guy to brag about it but it’s definitely something you should OK beforehand and not share on national TV without permission.
But AD doesn’t have ‘prominent features in the chest’ area compared to the other ladies. It definitely has racial undertones the way she is the only woman- BW- and is being so objectified for no reason.
@@lilyxo6914 to me I think she has the most distinct body out of the woman bc she has a decent sized chest, thin stomach, and large butt. Definitely what guys are looking for generally. So maybe if Jessica or say Francesca from too hot to handle/ perfect match was on there it would be the same bc they have similar body types. Idk if Jessica had a large butt but Amy and Brittany are generally slim and Laura and Chelsea are curvier so AD definitely had the most “ideal” body type out of the 5 women I’d think. Although some men may prefer the Amy/ Brittany look and some may like the Laura/ Chelsea look. Just depends on preference.
New subscriber here! I was so uncomfortable with the way people were discussing AD's body this episode and wondered if there was less discretion because she is black. I hope not, but it's sadly probably the case. Also, I noticed that Amy exited the conversation when the ladies brought up sex. She is respectful about her and Johnny's intimate life so far, and I applaud her for it.

I DID notice that! As soon as the girls started talking about if they have had sex yet, Amy got up and said "where's Johnny? I'm gonna go find him." I like them together.
Also, Chelsea has bigger boobs than AD. Why didn't Laura say "go bean dip Chelsea"? 🤔 And I was trying to give Laura the benefit of a doubt. Maybe her and AD have a close relationship that she can "joke" like that. But AD was obviously upset.

Never considered they would be okay with talking about her body because she is a black woman. That would make sense and that would be low key racist…
I was thinking that A.D. also let herself be over sexualized, I don’t know why, but she gives me low self-esteem vibes, and that she gets a lot of her self-esteem from her looks
Great review! I actually think most guys prefer more natural. I have thick long lashes naturally and super thick long hair, so it’s not necessarily fake and women are beautiful with or without those traits. I would not want to date a man that does botox, fillers, steroids, etc. and so I understand that perspective personally.
Oh man, I'm jealous that you've been blessed with all that natural hair and lashes. 😭😁 Some men do like the natural look (*coughing* JP 😆). I LOVE a red lipstick and I once dated a guy who didn't like it. He preferred when I wore more nude colors. I was like, oh boy, we're gonna have a problem. 🤣
But most men say they like a natural look and drool over dolled up IG "models". 😒
On this season, Brittany is a great example of a woman who looks more beautiful without make up. When she was laying in bed with a fresh face and her glasses on, I thought she looked absolutely gorgeous.

I love to point you made about the cast members overs€xualizing AD and them being comfortable doing so because she is a dark- skinned Black woman. Most people either are not as astute as you, or they are not as willing to be honest about this issue.
It felt like her body was on display for everyone to comment on. OR all those white people had never seen a black woman before. 🤔

I’m sorry but when it comes to race and culture you CANNOT just avoid that in the pods. That’s a huge part of identity so figuring out someone’s ethnicity and understanding cultural dynamics on a blind date isn’t about vanity.
Not about vanity, for sure. But someone could be missing out on a great person when they find out their Asian because Asians are not their "type". The cultural conversations definitely need to be had after the engagement and before walking down the isle. Like when AD told Ken that Britt would be raising black children.
But honestly, it's pretty tough to hide your ethnicity on the show because of the way we talk. If I close my eyes and hear Clay talk, I'd figure he's black. Or when SK talked, I could hear a Nigerian accent. Or Lydia. You knew she was latina. But Natalie is Asian and her voice is very "Valley girl" like. I'm rambling now...🤐

@@denisespieces4744 i get what you’re saying, but there are certain things race can’t be ignored on. Especially coming from a black woman perspective. Even on this show racial insecurities bleed through and it’s just “ignored”. This show is great entertainment but in reality love, like color isn’t really blind and when others act like it is they are usually disregarding the groups of people most effected by that reality. But that’s a different convo lol. But yeah, I think before getting engaged, you shouldn’t be afraid of some convos and wasting your time.

I can't remember any specifics moments of LIB Brazil that were shallow but that could be a culture thing. Brazil is a very cosmetic driven country.
On this season though, it seems like most people are obsessed with looks. Jeremy asked Sarah how many social media followers she had just to see if she was and IG model. 🙄 Like "oh, she's got 30K followers? There must be a reason for it."
These shows are always about the same thing...
