I like Kemi, but sorry you did not COVID well , Rishi spent too much money and Boris was hopeless . I will say that I wish Toties were still in power rather than this absolutely disastrous Starmer and his embarrassing MP’s in his cabinet .
I voted Reform with no regrets, and unless things change dramatically I will vote Reform again. However, if Kemi becomes leader of the Conservative Party, and IF she looks as if she can really deliver a truly conservative agenda then I would consider voting for them. Two big IFs but Jenrick would not get my vote.
No way the Tories will ever win back this reform voter. You had over a decade and did nothing to reverse terrible labour policies that Blair brought in.
Kemi is politician who should be listened to and a true leader. She is for the people. I have not been in awe of a politician since Tony Benn. She hit the nail on the head we need to fix the political system. She’s always straight to the point. Never avoids a questions answers everything and never rambles. She phased the removal of laws, she has said quite clearly we could leave ECHR, but if we have the same laws here with people in the home office that worked for refugee charities the problem won't stop
Actually I found her reasoning fair. I’d be watching closely what other EU countries are doing and using that as legal precedent. Italy turns boats away, France gives minimal benefits and a much lower rate of asylum claim acceptance, Denmark is sending Syrians home now their country is not at war, Sweden is sending the army in to deal with migrant gangs ..
I used to be a conservative voter. Never again as 14 years of downward direction. Refused to carry out Brexit. Refused to stop the boats. Inward migration ridiculous numbers when promising to lower it time and time again. Refusing to leave the ECHR shall I go on.
I am 76 and voted Conservative all my voting life apart from 2 times, once voting labour as a tactical vote against a sitting MP, and once LibDem as he was a great sitting MP. BUT never ever will I vote Conservative again. Too late, far too late, sorry Kemi.
Personally I’m 100% reform this country needs a change in direction away from the mainstream parties but I do like Kemi badenoch she talks a hell of a lot of sense.

I’ve been watching Kemi since I first heard her do an amazing pro Brexit speech in London years ago. I thought then she would be a big deal and i was right
How could you possibly trust them ever again. The whole reason we're going to suffer 5 years of Labour is precisely because of 14 years of conservative lies.
The problem for the Tories is this: their leadership contest is a sideshow. The socialists pretending to be 'Conservatives' is temporary posturing. They all have track records of saying one thing and doing the opposite. The spectacle is nothing more than two bald men fighting over a comb. And beyond the membership no one cares. We need new politics, and there is only one party offering that: Reform.
Surely it's up to businesses to decide what works for them or not? Flexible working is more likely to bring people back into the workforce rather than deter them, so I would have thought that would be a good idea for businesses. People who can work around family responsibilities are more likely to return to work.
It sounds nice but it’s impractical. You can’t have employees dictating to employers endlessly like that otherwise you make businesses subservient to its employees. That always ends in disaster.
We have an ageing population that is often looking after grandchildren so both parents can work, providing financial support and the largest group when it comes to voluntary work. Many stay on at work after pension age still paying tax. Many using their savings to pay for health care top ups like physio, dental care etc. Plus they always have to be able to pay for help and care when needed . Don’t let’s mention care homes £1,500 per week.
Kemi needs to think big about the future of the nation state and the threats to it. If it were up to me I’d be looking at the more circular economy we used to have and reversing a lot of globalisation. Having a stable sized, culturally homogenous population. Far far less reliance on places like Saudi and China. Rules to prevent foreign ownership of property and businesses. Our own energy supplies. Things like that . I think we need to build a country that is ALWAYS war resilient so if our gas gets cut off by Ukraine we have a back up, if the EU plays silly buggers with food we have the ability to supply our own essentials, that our people are capable of defending ourselves, that we keep our competences in engineering, steel production and defence
If you're reading this Kemi, I like you but I'm not going to vote for either Conservatives or Labour ever again. Especially Labour. You won't do what needs to be done, either of you. The country is simply overrun with immigrants (many are here illegally) and it's getting worse everyday. There is nowhere for them to go, we can't house them, the health and educations services are at breaking point, what are we going to do ? Added to that, there is a problem with the complete lack of integration from a certain foreign culture that is incompatible with secular free British society. No one wants to say anything, they just stick their heads in the sand hoping it will go away. It won't. Reform are the only party now that will address this, that's why I'm voting Reform.

Quite right of Julia to raise the GDP per Capita of which we are currently down in 21st place and falling a long way short and of course, if people keep coming here things can only deteriorate from there. Imagine that for a moment, the sixth biggest economy but in relation to GDP per Capita, outside the top 20. I've talked about the need for smaller government. That was a serious amount of damage caused right there and we have seen the bloating of admin costs everywhere as these people built their little empires within corporates and institutions. Time to rationalize the big government mentality and start releasing the pressure on the private sector.
We need more prisons. No need initially to build prisons, make tented prison encampments on remote Scottish islands. That will work very well. Cheaper startup, and no attempts at escape, and a definite deterrent. Similar camps can be created for the illegal immigrants.
Labour wants to talk about a black hole and growth but by the end of the year there will be a worsening financial situation because there will be either zero or negative growth.
Govt should only be 35-40 percent of gdp but now we over 60 percent of gdp can’t carry on like this plus gold plated pension must go or increase their contribution because public sector pension hole is 50billion plus .Too many people employed in govt/local council also privatise lot of expensive govt employees
