- Featuring the only animal I know how to draw, MY DOG! hehe I spent a feeeew hours and filled my SD card on these paintings and I had so much fun I didn't even realize how long it had been. I really think Acrylic paint is something I'd like to do more in the future. I'm really starting to enjoy this medium!

honestly, precious is such a good word for him. he's such an absolute doll. I think he was abused in his past before we adopted him (for many reasons) and he's come so far. Dogs are so resilient!

I know how annoying it is to know that there are people in this world who do that, and dogs really are resilient, I’ve personally known pups that have been abused previously and weren’t used to human love, affection or even touch so were paranoid for way too long then they deserved to be, but we’re honestly lucky to have people like you in this world to really cherish such a precious species and give them the life dogs deserves

17:51 One of my friends (who HATES drawing) keeps saying that “using references is cheating” AND IT ANNOYS THE HECK OUT OF MEEEE!!!!
Tornado Flopp every artist uses references. Even Van Gogh used references
Some artist complained and said “Do you use references? If you do, that’s cheating, because you’re basically copying” my reply was “I normally use about 20 different references, because I can never find the perfect reference. However, it’s not cheating, you’re just looking at anatomy or a base, even getting shadows and stuff right. Wouldn’t you like to get things to look somewhat like the real thing?” I would’ve explained it better nowadays, but that was over a year ago.
Dont tell her about all the artists that trace the ref for an outline then.. including very famous artists lol she'd have a fit!

That pen has become my favorite since I got my box. The retracting nib means my heavy handed self hasn’t ruined it yet.

Try Pinterest they have a lot of tips and picture walk thrus of how to do a lot of different animals. Sorry if this doesn't help that's just how I'm trying to get better at drawing animals 😊

Hi. I stumbled across your videos a couple days ago and have been watching, like, all of them. I hadn't drawn seriously in forever, and every time I picked up a pencil or stylus or whatever, I ended up really disappointed and dissatisfied, like I could never shake the rustiness from years of ...un...practice.... I'd get too worked up over what was wrong, and too bogged down with, like, technical precision and stuff. This is a problem I've had for forever with my art, but it's been worse in the past few years. But watching your videos, especially the art box ones, where you're just having fun and are so delighted by the supplies and making art, and loving it, even when it didn't come out exactly how you'd expected has been so nice.
Your positivity and willingness to try new things has been really encouraging. And the way you present tips and advice is really good too. I've learned more just watching you happily goof around with art than any art tutorial.
Er, anyway, point is, I've picked up some cheap art supplies from walmart and I'm finally feeling better about my art and back to just enjoying the process again, and you've been a big part of that.
So, uh, keep up the good work and I hope the year brings lots of great stuff for you.
