I like how you design based on what your villagers would actually do instead of just building what looks nice. The ACNH community can get too obsessed with aesthetics sometimes so it’s good to see someone appreciate the villagers’ personalities even if they’re lacking in New Horizons.

You know the microwave above the oven in US kitchens? The exhaust fan is built into the bottom of that built-in microwave. Personally never lived somewhere without a microwave above the stove, or a vent hood separate from the microwave

i love decorating the villagers homes, i always challenge myself to make it aesthetic, use whatever furniture they came with, as well incorporating their personalities and favorite things. Its usually a hot mess lmao

Melba’s house was so cute. She’s been my favorite villager since wild world. I had her for years in that old save account before she finally moved. Got back into New Horizons recently and can’t wait to finally build my island and have all my dreamies on my island. Also, very chill and calming video atmospheres you make.

I'm stuck on animal crossing rn, because I got to 3 stars and wanna do decorating but I need specific recipes to do the decorating I want, but I can't time travel because it absolutely messes up DDLV even if I change the time back before playing. So I have had to switch games. Thankfully the autumn recipes are coming up soon, so I'll be able to grab those and hopefully at least get started with my mushroom forest. I'm stuck living vicariously through Angry Coconut for the time being tho

Most houses/apt in America have the microwave with an exhaust fan above the stove! Though NY usually has illegal apts and landlords who are terrible so maybe don’t use them as the base lol

For us we had them, but don't really use them lol. But i think it's also true that some places don't have them. I don't really notice them, they are kinda just...there.
My stove has an exhaust above it and I live in America, specifically southern Louisiana. I’m used to the exhausts being above the stoves too, you’re not the only one!

In my experience, living in Melbourne Australia, I have never seen a stove without a vent on top. It seems strange to not have one, smoke alarms must be going off like crazy.

my kitchen doesn't have a vent hood but it does have an exhaust fan. my parents' kitchen is vice versa, the house came with a vent hood
exhaust fans are very normal where I'm at in the US but everywhere is very different. I have friends that don't have them in their kitchens and friends who are baffled that some people don't have them lol

i wish I could live in a loft but I also live I could live beach front. and i live in philadelphia, they have a vent over my stove in my new apartment. but my old apartment didn't have a vent so I had to open the windows when I cooked. I think it just depends on how cheap your landlord was being during renovation
