I may be wrong since I haven't played it in a super long time but I swear there was one time in New Leaf where a villager told me they were leaving. I then wished them luck and they were so offended that they changed their mind and stayed. XD

Here’s the real tea: Teddy just missed Fallbrook so much that he insisted on hosting the first event after coming back, regardless of any prior beef with the other villagers. That’s why he hosted Lopez’s birthday. When Vis trashed his house, he was very upset, but because he’s a man, he’s very bad at expressing any vulnerable emotions. That’s why at Able Sisters, he just gave a nothing-burger comment; he didn’t want to get emotional and cry in front of Vis. Later, Wolfgang helped him clean up his place, taking one of the trash cans and sending it to Vis as a tiny bit of retaliation and sending him a message that he was very inconsiderate to Teddy, who was simply excited to be back on the island.
(Yes, this is partially a request to redo Teddy’s interior and make it cute and fun)

I like to imagine teddy’s like a used teddy you’d find in a thrift shop now! Like when u got him he was brand new and over the years he’s gotten dirty and his stuffing is plump and he has random areas on his seams with colourful string where you’ve had to patch him up because he was picking fruit from a tree and got caught😭🤚

What I do when I start losing patience while trying to kick out one specific villager is that I look up the time their personality wakes up/sleep. Then I time travel to a time where they and a few others are awake so I have more chance of them leaving!
