They bring back things because the taste is different, I don't soak calaloo , put them in warm salted water , hold it by the stalk and keep immersing it , throw away that water use fresh water and repeat the process them I do the cutting. We don't have to take everything you mentioned from Jamaica but some things .

It depends on where you live in America. Miami and Baltimore etc you have Caribbean stores and get the food easy . Where we live we can't get it as we have no Caribbean stores. One and few things if any.

Are those non-stick pots, if yes, you should be using wooden cooking utensils to avoid scratching the pots.
Yes one Carribean and Jamaica is the biggest Island and help is needed from the damage of this hurricane. I personally hear how Jamaicas over the years speak not nice things about other Islanders it didn't start with other Islanders who saw Jamaicas as one Jamaicas are quick to say they are recognized all over but somehow dont act the part Jamaicas use to say before they take another Island man they rather be with snother race I'm not surprised of that because Jamaicas don't even recognize their national heroes they dont want to hear nothing about Africa they day Africans do Obeah forgetting Jamaicas do the same Jamaicas don't understand themselves and their culture the Maroons are the only ones who uphold the culture and history there are ignorant people not sure if it's based on the rebellious slaves tbat was brought to Jamaica but time has passed its time Jamaicans understand there are other Islands with people who was brought there from slavery who probably are their relatives so if Jamaicas are well know and they are proud of that they also have to do better and stop act as if other Islands are strange Africans do the same as Jamaicas because they say Carribean people don't know their tribes or where there from on the continent so its a prejudice within the people that needs to stop
