    Thank you for the informative video; it has been extremely beneficial. I have a query regarding my current situation. I am currently residing in India, and recently I received a job offer from Germany. In the email sent by the recruiter, various details were mentioned, including salary and other benefits. One aspect that caught my attention was the pension plan, which stated "employer's contribution to the pension scheme €30.00 gross/monthly." Normally, the contribution rate for the pension scheme is 18.6% of the gross salary, with both the employee and employer contributing 9.3% each. However, I am uncertain as to why the mentioned contribution is significantly lower than this standard rate.I would greatly appreciate your assistance in addressing my query.

      Hi, thanks for your comment. I think what they are referring to is a pension scheme in addition to the mandatory contributions to public pension. A lot of the bigger companies offer this as an extra benefit..

    @HalloGermany,
    Is it wise to ask for remote working for few weeks during HR interview.

    • @HalloGermany
      @HalloGermany  2 года назад

      Hi Ashish, It depends on the location from where you want to work remotely: From inside Germany or outside. For longer stays abroad there is often a problem with the insurance. If it is important to you, you should definitely address the topic. Maybe it's enough to do this when you are already in the second or third round of interviews or the company has already made you an offer.

    Is probation period negotiable ?

    • @HalloGermany
      @HalloGermany  Год назад

      Hi Rajat, the standard of six months is usually not negotiable and it's also not common practice to do so. I'd suggest to focus on other aspects instead.

    Hallo , What is difference between Job offer & job contract in Germany? Can you please help. Thanks

    • @HalloGermany
      @HalloGermany  2 года назад

      Hi Dhiraj, a job offer can be an informal offer that is stated via phone or email. A job contract is a full work contract that is signed by you and your employer. You can read more about work contracts here: hallogermany.com/blog/employment-contracts-germany

    Recently, I had and interview and the hiring manager (without HR present) asked me about my expected salary with a colleague present. I didn't feel comfortable about giving anything specific and just detoured from answering. The HM then said the HR will contact me then. Should I have given an answer anyway?

    • @HalloGermany
      @HalloGermany  Год назад

      Hi, I think if the question was asked with the other person present then this person most probably has transparency regarding the budget or salary level for this position so it would have probably been better to answer the question. Anyways I hope your discussion with HR turned out well!
