A lot of emotions got pulled out of me when I just saw them at red rocks. Unexpected moments sucker punched the fuck out of me and I started sobbing.

Scarlet woman is also another name in mythology for the Whore of Babylon, so it could be viewed as I look for lust and you look for something more holy (UV light comes from the sun). Some people think Higher is sung from the perspective of Sleep (the goddess as you said) towards Vessel but I do not subscribe to this belief.
Also, patients that suffer from Sundowning often end up self harming. While they look for ultraviolet (the sun) in the morning, the caretakers look them over for scarlet (blood). This is a possible reference to the dynamic between Vessel and Sleep where Sleep is a sort of caretaker.

Jaws is probably one of the best songs they ever released.

The wizard behind the curtain so to speak, masked by the "sleep lore" and costumes. This song specifically feels like he cheated and got caught and he felt he could never reconcile no matter what he did. "I am granting you more than the debt that i owe" etc...but yeah if you look at almost every song through this lens it makes perfect sense. A tale of a toxic relationship. An obsessive infatuation with the torment/abuse/toxicity they shared. Without being too long winded, the trilogy of albums and the way Euclid ended things made it clear that he has spoken his peace about it all and he is ready to move on. I don't think it will be the end of Sleep Token but the focus of the music lyrically may change. Just a guess on that part.

I think this is possibly a correct view of ST. These songs are so personal that he has to write them as the girl is the goddess and the lore and all of that is a part of concealing his view of the relationship without having someone basically off themselves for having 3 albums written about them. To mask that is the lore...which is pretty thin. Plus, he's so emotional about it he probably couldn't perform without the mask and hood. It gives him a safe place to be vessel instead of you know...his real self.
Anyone else notice this,, when he sings “the blooooooooood and the fury” something about the tremolo in his voice in the word blood it hits me in a primal caveman like way that sounds like a wounded animal, like a bird calling out or a gazelle screaming as a lion is sinking its teeth in and it makes the lyric hit me so hard. It feels like they’re living and struggling so hard to survive and something in the voice or the way they mixed and recorded taps into these primal emotions and it amazes me.
I really love how, not just heavy, but FERAL this song gets at the end. The distortion getting dialed to 11 just makes that breakdown almost animalistic

I saw Sleep Token live in Anaheim, CA a few weeks ago. The show is up on YT if you guys are interested. The sound on the video is soundboard quality. Sleep Token is the single greatest........."Anomaly" would probably be the best word for them as they are undefinable.......that I have ever seen in my entire life. They are untouchable. They do things that no one thinks of, or has the ability to do. Mainly because they have a singer that writes songs and lyrics like no one else and his singing range is as wide as he wants it to be. He not only delivers live, he adds things to the songs that make them even more exciting. The drummer is next level and is in a league of rarefied air. The 3 girl singers singing with Vessel allows for 3 and 4 part harmonies that you just don't see bands pulling off live. The band is so spot on, that it blows my mind at what they have achieved in a very short time.I am beyond thankful that I saw them in a full, proper setting, where they were the headliner, and they did whatever they wanted too. Even the stage show was COMPLETELY different, Not one light shined towards the band. EVERYTHING shined out and it was a non-stop light show that was unbelievable. All you saw was silhouettes and maybe an occasional glimpse of the band members here and there. Vessel never spoke the entire show. Not once. No one cared. I have never been to a show where a PACKED venue would stand in silence to listen as closely as they could. They would cheer after songs and then go dead silent. That's how much this man and his songs capture the listener and how I will say again, they are the single greatest anomaly / band I have ever witnessed. Watch the concert on YT. WORSHIP

I don't know very many people who know about Sleep Token, so watching you discover music I've listened to for years has been a true joy. Thank you for going nice and slow through it to let each song have its own moment. And I love how you discuss what the lyrics mean to you; it shows me that even though I don't have a lot of people around me who this music speaks to like it does me, you guys show me that there are many other people, lots, who this speaks to as well.

When I listened to this song that's how I interpreted it also, that Sleep left the place where the gods stay, in the daylight (ultraviolet rays), that's why they are looking for UV and Vessel is looking for scarlet... he's literally giving blood sweat and tears to this relationship. When y’all said you’re so happy y’all found this band, I literally said the same thing! Vessel speaks to my soul in a way no other band has ever done for some reason! I relate to the music so much! He pours his heart and soul out in every single song and in every single performances and I’m so grateful for that and for him and his words.

Not one light shined towards the band. EVERYTHING shined out and it was a non-stop light show that was unbelievable. All you saw was silhouettes and maybe an occasional glimpse of the band members here and there.
Vessel never spoke the entire show. Not once. No one cared. I have never been to a show where a PACKED venue would stand in silence to listen as closely as they could. They would cheer after songs and then go dead silent.
That's how much this man and his songs capture the listener and how I will say again, they are the single greatest anomaly / band I have ever witnessed. Watch the concert on YT. WORSHIP

Higher has been one of my top 5 favourite songs of Sleep Token since I heard it after "The Summoning" realeased and I discovered them! Absolute masterpiece
I don't know very many people who know about Sleep Token, so watching you discover music I've listened to for years has been a true joy. Thank you for going nice and slow through it to let each song have its own moment. And I love how you discuss what the lyrics mean to you; it shows me that even though I don't have a lot of people around me who this music speaks to like it does me, you guys show me that there are many other people, lots, who this speaks to as well.

You might be missing that all of the songs in their catalog are a loosely related narrative with callbacks, leitmotifs, and references throughout. It’s super satisfying to go from beginning to end.

What Kyle was saying about sleep being one among many, I feel like there are several "lesser" Gods and sleep is just one of them. When I listened to this song that's how I interpreted it also, that Sleep left the place where the gods stay, in the daylight (ultraviolet rays), that's why they are looking for UV and Vessel is looking for scarlet... he's literally giving blood sweat and tears to this relationship. He's paid way more for this relationship, more than the debt he owed. And it's obvious that the relationship is toxic. So many people can relate to this such as yourselves. Eric's right though, Vessel is a genius!

This is one of my favorites of theirs. Everything about this song just slaps so hard, from the melody to the lyrics to the instrumentation. Its just so good. Yall are gonna have this song just perpetually stuck in your heads for months now.
I’ve had it on repeat in my head for a year now. Last October, totally unknown to me, they opened for ITM and Nothing More. They stole the show. I went home and searched for this song and fell down the rabbit hole. Obsessed since.
I love these because I get to relive my own first experiences with the band. Plus Kyle & Eric are just one of a kind.
I love the frustration and explosiveness in this song. It escalates the same way a confrontation would. Then the throws everything he has into it, like throwing his hands up. And says “nah, f aaaaalll that. You still know what’s going on. I’m not crazy here.”
