I would generally agree with you. These people are extraordinarily connected to the "system" and cannot be fully trusted. Sadly, I have a similar background to JD. I came from a less than ideal background. We both served as enlisted Marines in Iraq. I have a graduate degree, scored well enough on the GRE to make it into an in Ivy League school, but stayed in my area for family reasons. Here is where our lives completely split off. Your analysis is in-line with mine. I don't trust anyone who can be bought, is connected to the current power structures, and has political aspirations. Whether or not JD comes with many strings attached remains to be seen, but it certainly seems likely. If the jackals get their way, JD may be the president and we may be in RINO territory indefinitely, or worse.
