Those are so so pretty! I really love that stamp set. My favorites are the blue one that you did in the video and the one with the purple. I'm sort of slightly, okay a lot, obsessed with purple. LOL dipping a paintbrush in water and then just tap it with your finger definitely works better and also once you get the droplets on there if you'll lay the paper towel down flat on the cardstock it'll help lift the ink. Also with the painters tape or even the like the purple tape but slower tack if you'll stick it on your arm first or on your clothes first that will lessen the stickiness of it. It'll still be sticky enough for your the masking but not so sticky that it tears your paper so much. He cracked me up when you got ink on your finger. I'm completely the opposite my motto is if you don't have ink on your fingers and glitter on your nose you did not have nearly enough fun Stampin LOL
Thanks Debadoo. Yes...My water painter didn't have enough water on it. And of course it worked EVERY TIME I did it before the live,...just not during. Normally I use a tooth brush, but I SOoo wanted to show how awesome those water painters are. LOL And I hear that purple tape is best. I am in my bubble of SU products and forget to research what else is out there. I have to invest.
@@stampyourartoutwithrachel I actually really respect that you use mostly SU products. I'm a naughty demo I Branch out way too much LOL. I totally get it working every time but live.
If you hold the paper with a clothespin when embossing, you don’t have to worry about burning your fingers. Also, if you press the painters tape against your skin, like on the back of your hand, it picks up oils from your skin. It still holds down well, but doesn’t tear the card stock when removing. This also works with masking tape. I learned this when I was making iris folding cards.
Hehehe...true. I never use anything to hold what I'm embossing unless it's too small. Then I use a wooden skewer and emboss it on my foil cover chipboard. I think I need to get some of that "purple tape" that everyone is raving about.. And yes...putting painters tape against your jeans helps too. Thanks for sharing for others to read. :)
Great idea!! Thanks for sharing. BTW, you are one of my winners! I drew your name today. Can you get in touch with me via email so I can get your contact information and send you your prize? My email is stampyourartout@comcast.net
I couldn't make the live, so watched the replay. What beautiful cards and what a great technique! I can't wait to try this. Your colors are also so bright and bold...lovely combinations. TYFS your talent. I always enjoy your videos.
When working with watercolor paper what I do is hit it with the heat gun a little bit section by section and pull it away at an angle. It works perfectly every time! Just wanted to pass on this tip for everybody and also for you Rachel. BTW I love how you make cards... you have helped inspire me in my own card making. So thank you for all the lovely creations!
Great techniques...thanks Rachel! I really liked your idea of using the PP add on cards as strips snd making cards that kinda look like your technique...but much easier...haha!
That looks like so much fun! The colors are radiant! I will try this soon with the flower stamps I have. It won’t be as gorgeous as yours but it looks like so much fun!

I use a small bull clip at the end of the sponge with a label for the colour. It helps me hold the piece of sponge better. Great video Rachel.
I remove the silver clips once in place.
