My wife and I saw it on Thursday. It was amazing! We really enjoyed it. We wanted to check it out because our daughter is a big fan of the Abigail actress, from Matilda (as mentioned)...but, yeah, we won't be bringing her in. She's not quite 8. :D
I will be catching it on streaming, simply because my wife isn’t a fan of super bloody movies. But I will be extra excited because I didn’t know it was a reboot of Dracula’s Daughter. Great review. Top notch as always, Miss Sarah.
I loved this movie. Not only was it fun, but the performances were fantastic the gore was well done, and you actually felt for the characters. I will admit, the first time they showed the interior of the house - it reminded me a bit of the vampire mansion in Resident Evil: Village
I want to see Ready or Not don’t know if it’s available on streaming but Scream 5 and 6 don’t hold a candle to the original 90’s movie in my humble opinion
Mrs sarah , miss darby, and miss sally the zombie cheerleader, oh and dont forget the horror geek, are the best reviews on the tubez, but mrs sarah is my go to
Such a shame that the movie (with its restrictive 18 rating) didn’t break out in the UK. Horror has struggled here in the last few months, it’s usually bankable but Late Night With The Devil, First Omen and Immaculate have all struggled. Here’s hoping movies like Cuckoo, The Watchers, Strangers and Smile 2 can correct this. Personally I loved Abigail, it was such a treat seeing Alesha Weir after Matilda throwing herself into this. The advanced screening I was in had one person wretching towards the end, the audience was in bits 😁 Another great review again.
I watched the French film Livide (the follow up to À l'intérieur) and it's VERY similar to Abigail's plot. Maybe that's where they really got their ideas for it, dunno.
I don’t know what ppl want. They want “different fresh & new”, get it, & then say, “well, producers/writers should’ve stick to what they know, this didn’t work.” So a producer/writer/director sticks to what they know; “well, we’re sooooo tired of the same ole thing! Give us new amazing & never seen before!!” I don’t mean you (What the Horror) I respect your opinion & I’m glad you didn’t go with the “norm” & love it for popularity purposes…it looks that way to me (my opinion). This is taking the fun out of simply enjoying movies. Wasn’t ppl just complaining about the ending to Scream 6 & how they shouldn’t have un-alived Dewey in Scream 5 & should’ve paid Neve Campbell what she deserved to come back for Scream 6 😂😂😂😂😂 flip flop flippity flop floppity flip flop flam! Ready or Not was OK, over-rated in my opinion, & I liked the ending in Scream 6. I’m very very caution reading reviews; if ppl like it that means I won’t. If ppl hate it then I probably will like it. 😊
Geezzz…… just do a recap of the show like all those other channels out there. And don’t care about those “no spoilers” shite 💩 just don’t watch if u don’t like spoilers! Got no time to watch those full movies, that’s why we watching them recaps and explained videos.

Just seen it. Solid 7/10. Totally agree with the review, but the third-act problems do drag down the mark a bit.

They don't have to be as good as the original to be good or worthwile.
Most movies aren't as good as the original Scream. That's a high bar.

That sounds fun. I've heard of other people squirming in their seats because of the gore but it didn't bother me. But First Omen bothered me
