She's been playing fairly well on the clay with her 1st serve percentage and 1st serve points off the charts. I hope she can get deep runs into large clay court tournaments for wta points to take some pressure off trying to defend the 2000 from the US Open

Definitely seeing some of the flatter groundstrokes from emma again, but there's more variety there. She can throw the height in \, the spin, the pace or take it off. I'm hopeful for her future in this tournament-- it seems that her game is very well suited for clay.

Emma, Some people were wondering if I was going to add more criticism from what I was hearing. Actually I learned something from coaching Petra Vhlova in the 2020-2021 season. It's not just me that thought I did a generally good job. Petra said nice things about me generally. Plus I heard her coaches the next season say I was valuable part of the team, which was nice of them. She did win the overall World Cup Women's championship that year. I did get on her about her slalom technique at least from Flachau onward. She eventually listened at the start of the next season. She won the Slalom Crystal Globe this year by doing essentially what I suggested. I am sure others were involved.
However, the long winded point I am making is that Petra eventually got tired of me criticizing her too much. I am trying not to do that to you. I am interested in meeting you. However, I am not that interested in flying to Europe just to do that. If you happen to get to Nevada, US sometime in the near future, let me know if you want to meet me. You seem to also be having trouble with stalkers, so I don't want to show up inappropriately.

Stuttgart is sometimes a very weird tournament, esp. in the past few years. You have 32 slots, where the top 24 filled by practically the top 24 players and then there's a bunch of WC and Qualifiers with quality far behind the Top 24
So you'll have first rounders with Pliskova meeting Kvitova but also this kind of lopsided draw
