I actually had my teacher be cool w my situation.
Prick in my class kept hitting me and shit, and, being a big dude 6ft 3, I was expected, by literally everyone, to be able to take hits. Well, one day, I wake up, and the very first thought in my head was “if he hits me today, I’m throwing fucking hands.”
Fast forward to class, and I’m talking to a homie when douche strolls up, cuts my sentence short, places his hand on my shoulder like we’re buddies, and says the sentence “wanna see how hard I can hit somebody?” To the dude I was talking to.
(You don’t wanna do this today, dude.) was my thought as he punched me in my side.
I threw three punches. Only three. Quick. One in his shoulder, his side, which made him fall to his knee, and for a brief moment, he looked up at me as I threw my third punch. The Halo Reach armor lock animation played thru my head and every instinct told me to throw my punch as hard as I could into his fuckin cheek. I knew it was gonna fuck him up bad cuz I was not holding back. In the final moment, I redirected my punch to his shoulder.
Grabbed my bag, turned around and walked away from the whole situation.
Not 30 seconds and I’m talking to the teacher.
“Listen, I saw the whole thing-“
(Great, so I’m gonna start heading for the fucking offic-)
“If you need a second to cool off out in the hall, I completely understand.”
      (This guy serious?)
“S’long as he stays away from me, I’ll be fuckin’ good.”
      “Okay.”
He turned around and let me continue class.
I hated that teacher with every fiber of my being before that day. Earned every ounce of my respect.
Tl:dr; teacher saw me stand up for myself and offered me a second out in the hall to cool off before continuing class.

Mine stood up for her friend. When lunch bell rang, the bully ran out of class cause he knew she was coming for him.
At 9yo she was fast! Way faster than any other at the school. She chased him down & slapped him! Hard!
School called me cause she was usually such an empathetic, calm & kind kid.
When I asked her what happened, all I could say was how proud I was of her! Ok, physical violence isn't good, but damn I'm proud!
And sometimes, it's the only language the bully speaks!

@@MoriacMumma7the question should be why the teachers hadn't already had their eye on the bully (it's only their first time bullying once.... they should know who the bullies are... and snatch them up EVERY time they start something, so kids don't have to act violently in self defense or defense or others. It's like house breaking a pet... you have to be very persistent and vigilant so you WILL catch them in the behavior you want to correct. Yeah, it IS teachers' jobs... it is part of what it means to "be in charge" od a classroom: to educate bullies that if they cannot behave with decorum, there will be consequences. And, yeah, it is the administration's job to back the teachers up in this.

@@MoriacMumma7 Such a good girl. I wish I would have friend like that against my bullies.
My stepfather told me when he was in middle school, there was a boy who was bullied because he was "a nerd". My stepfather was having boxing classes after school with his 3 older brothers and the little one, so one day, he was with the boy, and the group of bully came after them, starting to bully the boy. My stepfather stood up and beat him up, the teachers had to separate them. He was punished by his parents because he used violence, but at the same time, they congratuled him for protecting his friend, and all his brothers also cheered on him. After than the bully never ever bullied anyone, at least as long as he was in the same school than my stepfather. We don#t know if he started again after in high school.

As a mom, I teach my kids to stand up to bullies. My rule for school is, don’t be the first one to put your hands on someone, but if they put their hands on you first, it’s fair game to f#%k them up!! Even if the school chooses to suspend them, they will not get in trouble at home for defending themselves or defending another child. If the school wants to give them a few days vacation home with me, we will have a good time. My MIL took my husband on an out of town trip to visit her best friend and his godmother when he got suspended for punching a bully in the face. They can easily get over the fear of being punched in the face, because it doesn’t really hurt in the moment when adrenaline is pumping. They can meet words with words, because they are quick witted, but pain is temporary, and they need to neutralize the threat if things turn physical. We live in an ugly world, and thinking you can get through it without ever having to fight for yourself is delusional.

He told me that every time I saw them no matter where I was to attack them even if I lost. At school at the store on the road I just ran at them and started hitting them, it wasn't even 2 weeks, and they started avoiding me. Best advice I ever had. Thank you, Uncle Cleo. Unfortunately in todays time, 8 year old kids already partially carry a knife and it could get really ugly... But in principle I agree and teach that to my kids as well. But you have to take the history of that bully and unfortunately their race into account too. I used to be an intermediate school teacher in Texas. Doing morning bus duty. A student who was a real jerk came running off the bus, and running after him was Jose. Jose was a really quiet and good kid. Jose tackled the jerk and started to pummel him. I turned to the teacher I taught with and said, I guess I should go break up that fight. She said I should. (She was pregnant) I started to stroll over and calmly said, Jose, you need to stop. Jose, did you hear me? You need to stop punching him. Walking that fifty feet took me a while. Finally, standing next to Jose punching the jerk, I raised my voice and yelled Jose stop! Jose stopped punching. I told the jetk to go to the nurse then to the principals office. I walked Jose to the office and made sure he was ok. He had to be tired after all that punching.

I told him to take care of business and thanked him. I was so proud of him. Needless to say I had to drive him to school after that, which I was perfectly fine with. Reminds of back in elementary school we had this kid bullying a friend of mine. He wouldn’t stick up for himself and the school was well aware of the situation but refused to do anything cause the poor bully had a hard life. One day I walked up to him and rocked him in the stomach. He left my friend alone after that.
After that through out elementary whenever the counselor would come in to the class, bullying would always be a subject of discussion. Every single time they would say how violence in self defense is never the answer and to come to a teacher instead. I never hesitated to raise my hand and explain how I informed the school about a bully over and over again, nothing happened and the bullying continued. Until I hit the kid, then it immediately stopped. They never had a response to that except telling me I would I still get in trouble for doing it. I just said I was fine with it cause if the school won’t do something then someone has to. My parents were very proud of me
