I’m 45, $800K net worth. Been saving 50% of my salary, investing in stocks & living below my means. My goal this year is to be more serious and consistent with my investments for long term. I want to invest more this year but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk. Exactly what I’m doing again this week. The smartest thing I’ve ever done was having 30% in cash to buy on the way down in 2021. It hurt watching 30-40% discounts drop to 50, but grabbing Google, NVDIA, Apple, and others near the bottom has paid off

IT industry in the inside is a bit grim and I find these levels a good level to book profits
I am confused about IT. While there are still a lot of job cuts happening in the US, the stocks of the Indian companies that service those US companies is going up. Also there is no guarantee of soft landing for the US economy, which means more trouble for the Indian IT companies. Just because they outperformed the street expectations, doesn't mean that those companies are out of trouble. Or is there something that I am missing?

Huge fan of the knowledge you share over finances. Have a small query 5 yrs ago I had brought a nominal share on a demat account and the company has shut down but the share is still under my demat, so I can't sell it or do anything and now it's costing as the demat platform fee I need to pay to maintain it. What could be done in such scenario
You can move transfer the stocks from current stock Broker to Groww.there is no annual Fee.
Reliance result also coming soon, and could have a good impact on indexes, it should have been covered here. Otherwise a greate analysis to learn

people who work in IT knows,what is actually happeneing in this domain, i am not bullish here, it would see huge downfall in terms of their own growth due to AI.
I am in IT and What i think is AI will help IT Industry, And not destroy it. At least 10 year no danger from AI.
AI Will bring more innovative projects to IT industry.
AI Will help software developers to deliver easy and fast.
And No Company is Trusting to use AI Directly, So They would want to have there own AI Model/some internal version of it. Which would again leads to working going to this TCS / INFY / LTIM Company.
IT hiring will come down significantly owing to implementation of AI at scale. What's good is IT services are retraining people in new technology and moving them away from dated tech. Which will help not firing people. It will be sluggish for next 3Qs unless fed cuts rates to drive the next rally
No it wont. AI is only enabler, not replacement
Lower staffing costs with AI so more bottom-line profits, no?
@@priteshkhilnani probably in the long run.. the margin pressures will persist till end of 2024 as number of deals will be lower and the competition will be sterner between IT services cos.
