Mine went bad. Only had it for two weeks and the part is on back order. Nissan clearly now’s to recall this part! Mine would mess up only when the A/C is on. When it was off it shifts smooth. But when on… the first 3 gears were awful.
I'm at the Nissan dealership right now for the same issue. I have a 2024 Titan Pro 4x with 748 miles and yesterday it started rattling and pouring coolant through the bottom of the engine. Just as you stated, only when the fan is on. Fortunately in my case they have the part on hand. Crazy though!
how did you get them to finally replace it? I'm about to take mine in, looking for advice to just get them to do it. (same situation over here, '24 P4X and same # miles right now)
@@cuyahogacap I was just very persistent and luckily for me the problem kept doing it while I was there and the service rider was driving with me and it kept doing it and they kept saying that it’s normal but I didn’t fall for that and they said well it’s gonna just do it again. I said that you’re gonna replace it again. You just have to be persistent.
Did u get this fixed.. appreciate any update u could provide. I have 2023 Aramada (4k miles). Same loud noise. Couldn't reproduce at the dealer but sent videos. Nothing happened so opened a case with Nissan Consumer Affairs. Dealer confirmed noise is from fan clutch but he is waiting on Nissan to give them directions as to whether its normal or abnormal. Any vehicle making such loud noise at random times can't be normal. Nissan also sent their own tech at dealer to compare it with other vehicle. No response yet on next steps from them.
@@imesnyt Yes. The next day after they told me they found no problem I was driving past the dealership and it locked up. I took it into their bay and did slow revs for about 15 mins. Sounded like a 747 in an echo chamber. They got the point and replaced the fan and it was fine afterwards, ridiculous to have to argue about such an obvious problem. Sold the truck to Carvana. Not dealing with a manufacturer who denies warranty claims like this and wont be buying another Nissan because of this. Their policy cost them a customer.
@DemonChild thank you for your response. if you get hold of ur service record, it will be gr8 if you can quote exact part number(s) that were replaced. Any details will help. Completely agree, Nissan lost a cutomer in you . I got a call from Nissan Consumer Affairs representative today. He indicated that their own regional tech guy who visited dealer seems to have ruled out a/c as a problem and is inclined to get fan clutch changed. He will be initiating paper work to have dealer change the fan clutch but said it's bit challenging as dealer wasn't able to reproduce the noise at their end!! Hopefully they will get it done. It feels absurd that the fan clutch issue is happening to so many people and they still want to go thru the motion of "investigating" the issue while it's well documented and even captured on videos!
Finally got my fan clutch replaced today under warranty. For the past 1 month, I have been having back and forth with my dealer who insisted that the noise is normal. Even Nissan's Consumer Affairs representative agreed to get the Fan Clutch replaced but he eventually told me that he has tried everything but couldn't get dealers approval as they are unable to reproduce the issue at their end!! Mind boggling that Nissan (the manufacturer) is unable to get one of its dealers to repair its own vehicle - unbelievable!! So I took my vehicle to another dealer whose details I got from another forum. The 2nd dealer was much more receptive. They ran tests and initially were not able to reproduce the issue. However, the technician himself talked to me, and when I told him that I had a recording of loud noise that went on for 20 mins, he immediately agreed to replace the fan clutch. So it s now done, and I will keep observing if the issue recurs, but so far, so good.

Just bought an 18 and it does this but seems to only do it when the AC is on. Thoughts?

Is it one of those viscous clutches?
I’m sure it is BUT it’s also electronically controlled so who knows what’s up with it.
You ever get this fixed? Mine does the same thing. If so do you have service notes for the fix?
@thornvfx did you ever resolve your Titan rev issue?
