- Often considered the last of the traditional British Sports Cars, and today the TR6 is widely considered a great classic car to buy and enjoy. Here's a quick video on some of the main things you should know about it. The first car I bought back in the eighties was s Spitfire Mk III in that typical Triumph green colour. But your blue colour is the best TR6 colour there is. Absolutely fabulous. 👍
After repairing Triumphs for 25 years I'd advise anyone to pull the body off a Tr6 and substantially rebuild the chassis, replace the old injection with modern and check the crankshaft end float
. . . nothing else to worry about. I forgot of course the aftermarket electronic ignition
The PI British TR-6’s had higher hp but the mechanical fuel injection was problematic - so the carbureted 6’s were more reliable overall !
Certainly those early injection cars could develop some issues. Thankfully, these days the system can be made much more reliable and develop decent power.

Due to the BABVVO and TEBBVO laws, all petrol cars will unfortunately soon be banned from public streets in the EU, USA and Scandinavia :-( In Germany, the Green People's Party has given the order to shorten the fuel supply from 2025 by reducing all conventional gas stations to just one state-run central gas station per city or county Now they even want to slow down all gas pumps by 20 liters per minute to 2 liters per minute... From 2027, some car spare parts will also be banned in the EU... such as exhaust systems, turbochargers and even some engine and gearbox oils. .. California and New York will do the same from 2027... So no more investing in petrol cars... They even created a new type of crime here called emissions and smoke crime . "Bundesabgasbespaßungsv erbotsverordnung BABVVO" in German

It was a pesky HT lead that had come adrift. 30 seconds later and it was back on six and driving wonderfully.
Injection is far more than a mile in front of carburettors.
