    Very good video. At first it was disconcerting to me to see a backward view, but as the narration was focused and precise, I forgot about the unusual view point. I am over 5K miles on my 21 900 Rally and still find it a blast. I ended up turning it into a "bagger" and have enjoyed many an overnight trip. No issues with codes with mine, knock on wood! Safe ride my friend!

      Safe riding to you too and thank you for the nice comments. The Ryker is a blast to ride and I find myself grinning often as I putt along!! The backwards view is just me living outside the box when it comes to presenting my view of things, hoping I'm never like the herd and offer something a bit different for folks who are kind enough to watch!
      The only issue I have found is oil consumption by the engine. I suspect its due to the fact I'm running at high RPM most of the time. Its something I check every day, so far no leaks and nothing in the coolant so I guess its going out the exhaust.

      WHAT is a ''bagger'' Please??

      @@tpv59 Hello Terry, the Ryker does not come equipped with storage compartments so they are sold as an accessory for storage like helmets ,jackets, cell phone,etc.

    Great video well done. Can you tell
    me why so many people say these are very jittery to drive some people on here say they are dangerous?? I am 71 and thinking of purchasing one

    • @ryker900travels7

      Thank you for the nice reply! I suspect the auto braking is why some feel its jittery, it can be turned on or off and if in the on position will provide brake control in hard cornering. This is an odd feeling when you first experience it. Hope you are able to get one and have a great time on it!

      @newmonengineering 2 года назад +1

      @@roosterinmarari I am enjoying it quite a bit actually, about to do an oil change just got to 250 miles on it. They say after the first 200 is a good time to change the first oil, and then again at 600 and then at 6000. I'm going to try to change it myself and see how hard it is. It looks like the hardest part is getting to the oil filter. But I think I can do it.

    Nice video. You brought up some good points. I was wondering what kind of dash cam your using in this video?

    • @ryker900travels7
      @ryker900travels7  2 года назад +2

      Thank you for watching, I use Akaso Ek7000 and Brave 7. The Ek7000 are really light so mounting them on the helmet is a snap, the Brave 7 is heavy so I use it for my hand held shots. I also use the WonVon dual dash cam for many of my moving shots. Hope that helps!

    Other RUclipsr mentioned Rykers/Spyders are very finicky, delicate, and problems prone. A lot have electrical issues where they throw error codes where is actually no issue. Many experience error codes that is operation-related will prevent it from starting. Brake issues, etc. High cost of maintenance.

    • @ryker900travels7
      @ryker900travels7  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for your reply. I have not experience any of those issues with my Ryker and I'm pushing 5000 miles on it. I do all my own maintenance, so I can save there, but then I'm a mechanic so mechanical issues are kind of my thing. Which one do you own that has been giving you all the problems?

      I don't know which You Tuber you are referring to, but you must remember that when limited numbers of people have issues with ANYTHING they make it loudly known. No vehicle is totally guaranteeably free of issues, but often are extremely dew in numbers. I have owned a 2013 Spyder RS ( Rotax 990 V-Twin ), now a 2016 Spyder F3T ( Rotax 1,330 triple ), and my wife has a 2021 Ryker 900 ACE and everyone of these have been totally trouble free of any issues. Yes we have miles on all of them too. We have friends with similar Can-Ams who have also not had any issues with any of the multiple machines within their ownerships also. We have all been very happy with our Can-Ams. I am 75 years old and have owned 55 motorcycles and three Can-Am three wheelers after riding for 65 years and I have to say that the person you mentioned on YT is either a hard person to please, had some individual machine related issues, or they are just plain blowing smoke. Neither myself nor any riders I know have experienced any of the negative issues you mentioned. I recommend doing a complete research on your own and take heed to what the majority says. Visit a dealer to see for yourself if you are not a Can-Am owner ( I suspect you are not an owner or you would not be bothered by such rubbish ). I have been a machinist, specialty TIG welder, and mechanic for most of my life and know crap when I see and/or work on it. That is not the case with the Spyders or Rykers. They are as rugged and reliable as any motorcycles I have ever owned.

      That's due to an abs wire in the fender, there's a recall for it
