Its like watching a movie. The tesla car did not burst to flames and airbags deployed. Anyway both passengers survived and are seen making phone calls. As far as I know, their batteries are generally prone to spontaneous combustion. Every few days, I can hear about someone riding an electric bike made by the CCP causing an accident, but people are still not afraid to ride it to death.

EV fire happens not only with Chinese EVs. It's an EV problem. There are many cases of EV fires in the US which include all major auto brands. In US there are new regulations where EVs are not allowed to park inside parking buildings because of a fire hazard.
It's probably because of Tesla's innovation of an all electric door handle system that the Chinese can't resist to copy. Billionaire Angela Chao drowned in her Tesla when she accidentally drove her car into a pond and couldn't open the door or window.
The question should be what's going on with China's motor vehicle safety regulations? Which department in the China's govt that enforce vehicle safety regulation and why it approves faulty EVs? Every Chinese citizens complain about these EV manufacturers. They should also question the incompetency of their government since they own a percentage of these manufacturers but unable to make sure the EVs are safe for people to drive.

You can't find a BYD in the USA at the moment. I totally expect that if or when vehicles arrive in the USA they'll be built to a much better standard than they are in china. Basically the chinese people were used to perfect the cars then they sold them to Americans. Nationalism is ignorance. Tesla had the best crash testing rating of any EV ever and I believe even better than if not the best in gas powered cars too. It's one of the reasons they are so popular in the US. There are examples of falls from cliffs where everyone walked away. I honestly don't think Tesla is that worried, and they will continue to have a superior product for a long time yet, but the cheap vehicles china produces is going to very much unbalance that market.
You can't find any BYD or any chinese EV because the US put heavy tariffs and restrictions on them making it impossible to be sold in the US. US government already knows all about chinese EV and how unsafe they are, how cheaply they are made, can cause more death. US government knows chinese EVs basically violate all US safety and environmental laws.
BYD tried to build a factory in Mexico hoping they would avoid US tariffs because of the USMCA treaty (free trade agreement). If a factory was built in Mexico it would give BYD easier access to the US market. Flooding there cheap vehicles into the US like they did in Europe and other markets across the globe. But that plan failed cause US government pressured the Mexican government. US government is very aware of it. It's why they are making it harder to prevent any chinese EV into the US market. US made EVs are expensive but I would choose a US EV over a chinese ev with all the videos I'm seeing coming out of China.
They won’t ever come to US because well obviously they’re terrible and no one would buy them but also they will probably ban them which I’m all for. If they come here people will lose jobs and things would worsen with US Chinese relations
