- Fallout 4 Is Broken on Steam Deck Oled after verification. So we found the only fix that currently works to make Fallout 4 properly playable after the latest update from Bethesda.

Update: Valve has released a proton fix that solves the frame pacing issues. That makes the fix we discuss here redundant, however getting the launcher to redisplay is still relevant.
Crazy, my experience has been flawless on my steamdeck it's been a great experience. Maybe your deck isn't fully updated or your using experimental/non-stable OS.
Nope, this absolutely affected every single OLED deck, due to how the game was designed (it didn't support screens above 60hz). However, Valve released a proton patch last night that fixed this issue so no one needs to do this fix any more.
lol. Ran fine on mine. At solid 60fps. Not a single issue. I think maybe you are just bad with computers.

I made DANG sure that my steam deck was running fallout 4 by the time the update came out so it didn't automatically update.
ZERO surprises here and from now on, (until I finish the game) I'm going offline before I launch the game, and then going back online...ugh
ouch that's a hell of a workaround!! If it doesn't work out do try this fix, it honestly worked like a charm.
@@128KB yeah I may have commented too early lol. I didn't know about the fix till later in the video. Ill do that and I would definitely be a tough workaround, but good thing it's the only have I'm playing haha.

Hmmmm I started a brand new Fallout 4 game on my steam deck oled last night. Im 2 hours in & havent had any problems. For me its been the best Fallout experience Ive ever had.
Stick the performance overlay on and check the frame pacing. I definitely recommend you do this fix it'll play a lot better!

Im trying to put my email on the creation club but when i pull up the keyboard the game closes any ideas on how to put my email?
Its bugged the keyboard crashes when it gets pulled up.
I got back from work yesterday, absolutely hyped to download the PS5 update for Fallout 4...only to find out that those who downloaded it free from the old-world PS Plus Collections catalogue, can not upgrade 😅😅😭😭 Oh dear...Sony and Bethesda, come on now!! 😵💫😵

@@KaizAmari Really? Which tier of subscription are you on? I've had Fallout 4 downloaded for years and the only option it gives me is £15.99 to upgrade to the "base game" with PS5/PS4 options! Original PS Plus download version isn't classed as the base game.
@@Venison_0904 mine is Deluxe (since im living on SEAsia which doesnt provide Premium) but yeah im shocked that when i checked that on PS App, it is included,..only that you need to re-claimed that again to add it in library just like you add to library on ps+ games,..try check on your PS App on your first and not the console PS Store
