One thing that no upgrade for ibanez string bridges don't show you is the back side. The holes on the are offset. So make sure the base plate holes match the front. Even if the upgrade company swears the spec is correct, check anyway

I have an Ibanez Gio 7 string, and want to put a tremolo on it. I like Floyd Rose and heard Gotoh are good. I never had a bridge changed on a guitar so is it a good or bad idea?
