    Great tips. A few questions:
    1. Does it matter how hard you plant the poles initially? Since you are not using that initial contact for propulsion (but for pre-stretching of muscles), it seems that you don't have to plant with maximal force/velocity. Is there an optimal force profile?
    2. Your suggestion is to go actively on your toes. But it seems that just by swinging arms you automatically get on
your toes. Active toe raise or just correct arm swing?
    3. After the initial pole plant, do you actively bring your hands toward your head and bring elbows to your poles, or is that done automatically by your body moving forward?

      Hello Ales!
Know that it is a long time since you asked the question, sorry for not answering you, it has only slipt through.
      1) I know that some coaches are telling their athletes to have a hard pol plant and make force as quickly as possible. The problem with this is that the reaction force will be vertical and not lead to forwarding pulsation until the poles are angled more forward. High force early in the cycle often results in high collision forces that destroy the snow and asphalt :-) The result will only be that you bring yourself into a sitting position (hip goes down and back).
      2) Agree, correct arm swing, and the body will follow naturally.
      3) No, you do not use force to bring the hands towards the head, you start the movement with your stomach muscles and body weight and uses the shoulder and arm muscles eccentric (breaking) and pre-stretching the muscles that are doing the arm stroke!

Greetings @cross-countryskiingper-yvi9028 , thank you for these videos. I have watched your double poling videos probably 30 times now. I just started skiing this season and have only been on skis about a month now or so. However thanks to your videos I think I have made really good progress. I have been recording myself and then comparing the footage to what you say and the video that you have. Was wondering if you had one or two items of feedback for me, here is my latest run from this morning: ruclips.net/video/GEwXpUKxcYE/видео.html . Do you offer any coaching services for regular people? I will be doing Vasaloppet this year and am trying for under 8 hours. For next year my goal will be under 6 hours. I have fallen in love with x country skiing and am obsessed with it. Thanks!
