The scene you just heard in Day of Judgement in the Quran, it echo the scene described by Jesus in Mathew "Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ " Mat 7-22-23 First they call him LORD!, LORD! when he is a Prophet. Second, they say we did these deeds IN YOUR NAME, instead of In the Name of God. Of course the context in the bible is altered, and many would say "No no, Jesus meant this and that it is not about this or that.." Just like when Jesus said "My father is greater than I " they explain this as "they are co equal but he is humbling himself" so Jesus is not able to express himself in simple phrase, they need to clarify a mighty prophet's words with their words.. when we start interpreting words as we wish, our speech or any text will mean anything to any one. My father is greater than I , is a simple straightforward sentence, how could this be "I am humbly co equal with God"!! So I am almost sure that God, who knows everything, asked Jesus in the Quran "Did you tell them to take me and my mother as deities " To let Jesus worshipers hear the truth from Jesus himself, denying their claim .. Because there are verses in Quran where God explain that in That day many False Gods and Idols will deny their worshipers in front of them.... And Jesus pbuh is one case here. For your question about why he cried, The reciter cried because it is powerful conversation in Judgement Day, The Most hard Day. He may cry for those People who are on the verge of being condemned hearing this conversation in that day and hearing their "God" Jesus denying their false claim. He may some christian friends personally. He cried because it must be a hard moment, at least I cried thinking of the Christians that I know and remembering the Mathew verse that I cited earlier. When Allah said "Did you say to the people Take me and my mother as deities beside Allah" its not mean Jesus would become a god. Example when i stand beside my Presiden its not mean that i become a President too.
Jesus warn us said " I said not to them except what you commanded me to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord" This is monotheism that Jesus told us to not worship other god except Allah
And in the Bible Jesus never claim himself as a god and never say worship me. In the Bible Jesus say "My father is greater than I" and last thing if you read the whole of Bible theres no trinity. Look at your Bible once again

I think the reason this surah is so sensitive and he’s crying is because so many people on planet earth believe Isa(Jesus) AS is god and they’ll will be punished for it..
